Thank you to everyone who came out and voted on Thursday, and especially to those who supported Labour.

Unfortunately, our Labour candidate was unsuccessful, and our Bridgewater ward is now represented by a Reform councillor, alongside your 2 Labour councillors.

As always, Councillor Nelson and I remain available to support all residents with any concerns or issues you may have. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

A message from Norman Plumpton Walsh.

Thank you to everyone who supported me in this election. I’m very grateful for the incredible support.

Although I am no longer a councillor, my commitment to our community remains unchanged. I will always care deeply about our community and will continue to support and advocate for the people and places that matter to us all.

More nonsense from Reform...

The Iftar dinners were funded from an external grant, specifically ringfenced for helping integration in our community. Officials and members of many faith communities were invited to the events. One attendee (not Muslim) told us that "they were fabulous events attended by people from many different faith groups, promoting understanding and cooperation for all people of Halton, whatever their faith".

It was not funded from Council Tax money and Muslim faith groups helped to organise it and invite the other faith groups.

Reform can't have it both ways: they complain when people don't integrate, and they moan again when people do integrate. Which is it? Oh, we know what it's all about; it's about division at any cost. Reform take the funding from billionaires that don't even live in the UK, and then use that money to try to divide British society and implement the policies most suited to those same billionaires. Don't buy it!

Vote Labour on 7th May in the Local Elections if you want to see an end to division and anger.
