Tonight Squirrels and Beavers have been gardening at Millennium Green. They worked really hard and showed great teamwork weeding the raised bed then planting lots of flowers which will hopefully bring lots of colour and attract insects to the Green.

Georgia & Jasper then got to officially move to beavers, they got their moving on certificates plus a very special camp blanket badge for earning every award a squirrel can!

Thankyou to all the parents and young leaders who helped out tonight too, we really appreciate it.

Yesterday Scouts made the trip to Llyn Padarn for a day out on the kayaks and paddle boards. The weather was very kind to us giving us excellent conditions on the water. A big thank you to Paul Guy for helping us out ( again ).

Volunteers from 4th Runcorn today attended Mersey Weaver’s Big Thank You to receive good service awards. We would like to congratulate all of our hardworking volunteers who received awards.

Hannah Deakin our Squirrels Leader received the Chief Scouts Commendation for Good Service and also received her Wood Badge

Emily Morris, a member of our Squirrels Team Leader received the Chief Scouts Commendation for Good Service

Diane Lagares-Ballantine, a member of our Trustee Board and our Squirrels Team received the Chief Scouts Commendation for Good Service

Darroll McCulloch, our Group Treasurer unfortunately could not attend but was due to receive the Award for Merit

Callum Linger, a member of our Trustee Board and HQ manager has received the Award for Merit

Paul Frodsham, a member of our Scouts Team received his 20 years service award

A massive congratulations to each recipient and thank you for your dedication to 4th, the Group could not run without our brilliant volunteers who do so much for our young people.

Last night Scouts spent the night out at Queen Charlotte's Wood, lighting fires with a flint and steel, whittling sticks to make s'mores on, making homemade pizzas in the pizza oven and shooting crossbows on the range. Special mention to Colin Chambers and Pick for teaching the kids to shoot safely, thank you.
