Our cake stall at the HaltonFest returns again this year on Saturday 6th June 2026. For group parents we would greatly appreciate if you are able to donate cakes for the event by dropping them off at Scouts on Friday 5th June along with a list of ingredients. Any support is greatly appreciated

Last night Scouts spent the night out at Queen Charlotte's Wood, lighting fires with a flint and steel, whittling sticks to make s'mores on, making homemade pizzas in the pizza oven and shooting crossbows on the range. Special mention to Colin Chambers and Pick for teaching the kids to shoot safely, thank you.

Last night squirrels were working on their builder badge. They made a house they’d like to live in out of Lego!

Last night saw scouts learning how to safely use axes and saws out at Queen Charlotte's Wood, they also started a fire at the campfire circle and helped our beaver section make s'mores and do some games and songs while they were on their camp.

Over the past few weeks beavers have been working on their camp badge. We have made badges, blanket patches and keyrings, pitched a tent done some mini pioneering with dry spaghetti and marshmallows and learnt about camp blankets and all the places you can collect patches from ( awards, castles, garden, museums).

Last night Scouts climbed Moel Famau, after a little bit of rain the weather changed and gave us ideal conditions. All the Scouts reached the summit for a picture and for our newest scouts this was their first big hike so well done you lot. Special thanks to Dave Rushton for coming along to help us out.

At Squirrels last week they all took turns doing various activities, all to help them with their upcoming sports day
This week we have been talking about our upcoming camp, all children had an input as to what they would like to do while we are there.
