Tonight squirrels had a fun filled Halloween party 🎃
We ended the night with awarding badges and celebrating the young people’s achievements from this term! Well done to each & everyone of you!
Isaac, River & Ethan all managed to earn their Acorn awards as they start their new adventure into Beavers from November after also completing their link. It has been a pleasure having the 3 of you in Squirrels!

Last night squirrels made their very own pinecone squirrels 🐿️

14/10/2026

This week our beaver colony had great fun creating their own crazy golf course to complete the builder badge. It was a fun chaotic night!

11/10/2026

This week Scouts carried on with their teamwork badge. Entering a smoke maze filled with dead ends communication was key to finding all objects hidden in the hall and finding their way back out. The maze was patrolled by leaders and anybody who broke the line of their laser was disqualified. In the other room the sections 2 and 3 of the skills badge were completed on the laptops with scouts researching the dangers of smoking, drugs and alcohol + the need for a sensible diet and the right amount of sleep.

Squirrels have had a busy couple of weeks. Last week, we plotted our own jigsaws in, and had some time to re-do them
This week we made s’moores and had some campfire songs

06/10/2026

Friday night saw scouts practice whittling and lighting fires with flint and steel. We finished the session off with a few games run by some of our older scouts and made s'mores over the fire barrels.
