Do you and your registered young carer want a FREE day out to the Manley Mere Adventure Trail tomorrow, Thursday 20th August, with transport provided?

Please note: this is a joint trip for you and your young carer/s to enjoy together! An adult is required to supervise your child—this is not a drop-off session, but a chance for you to come along, join in, and have fun together.

Ashley, Vikki, and Amber will all be there on the day to support the activity!

What to expect at Manley Mere: Young carers (and big kids/adults!) will enjoy an exciting outdoor adventure through woodland, taking on a variety of fun and challenging obstacles including:

Rope swings & zip wires
Balance beams & climbing nets
Bridges & plenty of muddy trails!

Transport Details:
Widnes Stadium Pick-up: 9:30 AM (Single pick-up point)
Runcorn Old Town Pick-up: 9:45 AM (Single pick-up point)
Return: The coach will return to these two drop-off points at the end of the day.

If you and your young carer are up for an adventure, getting muddy, and having a laugh, head over to our closed young carer group now to access the link to show your interest: https://www.facebook.com/groups/481322265926862

A huge thank you to Warrington Road Family Hub for inviting us along to their Family Fun Day last week! 🎪✨

We had a lovely time chatting with so many people about the range of support and services we offer to unpaid carers across Halton.

Would you like us at your next community event? If your organisation or venue is hosting an event and you’d love to have our information stand there for adult and young carers, we’d be delighted to attend!

What a wonderful day we had on Wednesday at CAFT! ☀️

The sun was definitely shining, but that didn’t stop us from heading into the woods to toast marshmallows! We also had so much fun feeding the animals, including the alpacas, pigs, and goats. 🦙🐖🐐

With 25 families and over 100 of us enjoying the day, you wouldn’t believe how spacious and peaceful it felt thanks to the beautiful surroundings. Most importantly, it was a fantastic opportunity not just for our parent carers, but for our young carers to attend with their families as a whole and enjoy a special day out together. ❤️

A huge thank you to CAFT for hosting us and giving our families such a fantastic experience. We’ve had the best time and we’ll definitely be back!

A much calmer, relaxed day out for our young carers! 🌤️👟

We enjoyed a lovely, peaceful walk over the Silver Jubilee Bridge down to Spike Island, taking in the great views and exploring what's right on our doorstep. It was a wonderful opportunity for our young carers to go for a stroll, catch up with our team, and have some fun at the park.

We can neither confirm nor deny whether our staff team had a go on the zip line... but let’s just say no one is ever too old to let their inner child out! 😉🎢

It was a fantastic few hours for everyone to unwind, recharge, and take a well-deserved break from their caring responsibilities.

Well, this was certainly a different kind of day for our whole staff team—a petting zoo right in our office garden! 🐐🐰

What a fantastic opportunity for our young carers and their families to stop by, enjoy the lovely weather, and meet some amazing animals. ☀️✨

Thank you so much to everyone who dropped by! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and that it provided a fun, peaceful break from your daily caring responsibilities.

Here is Part 2 of our young carers’ residential with Camp Project Wales! 📸✨

Even more fun, laughter, and new friendships as our young carers enjoyed a much-needed break from their caring roles.

Our service supports young carers in Halton aged 4–17 who look after a family member—whether that’s a mum, dad, or sibling—living with a long-term health condition, disability, mental health need, or substance misuse. We are here to offer guidance, activities, and dedicated support so no young carer has to do it alone.

If you have a young carer in your family and would like to find out more about our service, please fill out the form here:
