❤️ WORLD AIDS DAY 2026, REMEMBER, REFLECT AND STAND TOGETHER ❤️
As World AIDS Day approaches on Tuesday 1st December, we are absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to have once again received permission to display our red ribbons across Halton for the fourth consecutive year. ❤️
Red ribbons will be displayed on:
Runcorn Town Hall railings
The bandstand at Heath Park Runcorn
The bandstand at Victoria Park Widnes
The Mersey Gateway Bridge will also be illuminated in red on 1st December.
These displays are about so much more than ribbons and red lights. They are a powerful symbol of remembrance for everyone we have lost to HIV/AIDS, solidarity with people living with HIV today, and a reminder that HIV stigma still exists and education remains vital.
We must never forget those whose lives were lost, the families and friends left behind, or the people who continue to face discrimination simply because of their HIV status.
World AIDS Day must never be forgotten or allowed to disappear from our communities. We must continue to raise awareness, challenge stigma, educate others and show compassion, understanding and support.
Remember those we have lost. Support those living with HIV. Challenge stigma. End discrimination.

Together, we can build a future free from HIV stigma.❤️
