🌸 A Special Thank You to Vera 🌸

At Brookvale Community Centre, we are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers who help make our centre a welcoming place for everyone.

Today, we'd like to give a special shout-out to Vera. At 84 years young and severely sighted, Vera regularly comes to the centre to plant and care for our beautiful hanging baskets and pots. She also pops in throughout the week to check on them and make sure they are looking their best.

Her dedication, kindness, and hard work are truly inspiring. Just look at the fantastic job she has done – the colourful displays brighten up our centre and bring smiles to so many people.

We are so grateful for everything Vera does. She is a valued member of the Brookvale Community Centre family and a wonderful example of community spirit.

Thank you, Vera, for helping make Brookvale Community Centre such a beautiful place. 💐❤️

What a wonderful afternoon spent at Brookvale Community Centre remembering Joe Cox.

Everyone enjoyed free coffee and cake while coming together to chat, make new friends, and strengthen community connections.

A big thank you to Stop Loan Sharks Central Credit Union and Citizens Advice for attending and providing valuable information, support, and advice to local residents.

It was lovely to see so many people enjoying each other's company in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Events like this remind us of the importance of kindness, friendship, and looking out for one another in our community. ❤️

Local neighbourhood Policing teams have been out across the area replenishing our emergency bleed control first aid kits.

These potentially life-saving kits are located at various accessible venues throughout our communities, they are designed to provide immediate assistance in the event of a serious injury involving catastrophic bleeding.

Stay safe and look out for one another. 👮

Here at Brookvale Community Centre, we have successfully secured funding to provide a number of FREE Breakfast Clubs.

Enjoy a bacon or sausage barm, tea or coffee, and most importantly, the chance to meet new people and enjoy a friendly chat.

🚨Important Club Update 📢

Next Thursday, the club will not be running.

We’re taking a short pause to focus on some behind-the-scenes work that will help us continue growing and improving what we offer. Some of these developments need to stay under wraps for now, but trust us when we say they’re worth the wait.

Running a community club solo alongside a full time job and family life takes a lot of planning, so this break also gives me a chance to recharge and come back with fresh energy.

✅ The club returns the following Thursday.
✅ Social media updates will continue.
✅ Planning and development won’t stop.
