Commuting turns cycling into a superpower: cheaper travel, daily fitness, less stress. Make it easy to stick with—good lights, a lock, and clothing that suits your weather. Setup tips Mudguards and a rack transform a commuter. Slightly lower tyre pressure adds comfort and grip in the wet. Consider puncture-resistant tyres if your route is debris-heavy. Maintenance advice Weekly: tyre check, quick brake test, chain wipe/l**e if needed. Monthly: tighten bolts, check rack and mudguard mounts. Winter: rinse salt off the bike and l**e more often. Cyclocross: Mud, Speed, and Simple Setup

Cyclocross is short, intense, and brilliantly messy. You’ll feel clumsy at first—everyone does. Focus on smooth cornering, dismounts, and remounts rather than “winning training.” Setup tips Tyres: CX tyres are narrower than gravel—tune pressure for grip. Brakes: disc makes life easier in wet conditions. Gearing: simpler is often better (1x is popular). Maintenance advice Rinse mud off quickly to protect bearings and drivetrain.
