We want to begin by thanking every survivor who has made contact with us about the abuse experienced by anyone associated with , and in any location. While we were not there to represent you all at this meeting, we did our best to ensure this is raised at the highest level, so that neither stakeholders, the public or those responsible or complicit in the decades of abuse can be complacent at thinking there will be a lack of action.
We delivered every single written testimony and question to The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, at the end of the meeting, and he has promised to read the dossier personally.
It takes incredible courage to speak out, especially in this case. Your experiences have been heard at the highest level, but more importantly help drive this issue to the heart of the Government. This has never happened before with a sitting Prime Minister and the fact it has now is down to the perseverance and courage of each one of you.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the significance of this moment and encouraged anyone with information about incidents of sexual violence to come forward and assist the authorities. He instructed the Home Office to work directly with the APPG to expedite its work. We are excited that work will begin on this imminently and look forward to updates accordingly.
He was clear that accountability must be absolute. No individual or institution is above the law, and power must never act as a shield from punishment. He also stated that any attempt by Harrods or others to conceal information would constitute a criminal offence. He reinforced the seriousness of transparency and cooperation in the ongoing investigations linked to Mohammed Fayed, Harrods and associated parties.
There was recognition that progress must be swift. The Prime Minister expressed a clear expectation that investigations should be carried out as efficiently as possible, without compromising a thorough investigation.
Importantly, he stressed that there must be real and lasting consequences that go beyond the work of the APPG. The meeting on 3rd June 2026 at No 10 marks a significant step, not an end point. It is part of a journey toward justice and systemic change to better protect from sexual violence and abuse.
Once again, we thank every survivor for their trust, their strength, and their role in making this moment possible.
