🥊 Last month we jokingly called it Fight Club.
We have now done Fight Club.
We owe several apologies — mostly to our bodies, partially to the sport of boxing, and entirely to whoever had to edit the footage.
Rugby Round Table took on a boxing session at the fantastic Bradby Youth Club, and what followed was a masterclass in enthusiasm over ability. There were jabs. There were crosses. There were hooks. Very few of them landed where intended, but by God, they were thrown with CONVICTION.
Highlights included:
🔹 The total loss of all personal pride during the cooldown
🔹 Three separate people explaining they "did a bit of boxing at school"
🔹 Footwork that would generously be described as "interpretive"
🔹 A group that was visibly more tired after the warm-up than any of us would like to admit
It was chaotic, it was hilarious, and it was absolutely one of our best nights yet.
The massive mixed grill afterwards and the beer did soothe both ego's and muscles!

💛 We're also delighted to share that we donated £500 worth of equipment to Bradby Youth Club as part of the evening. The club does incredible work for young people across Rugby, and we're proud to support them — even if our boxing skills were more of a comedy donation than an inspirational one.

Round Table is open to men aged 18–45 in Rugby who want great events, great mates, and zero expectation of being any good at boxing. 📩 Message us to find out more.
