Lowhills Animal Sanctuary

Lowhills Animal Sanctuary Lowhills Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organisation in Rugby, Warwickshire. Est: 2005 LAS currently has 5 sanctuary cats that live here on a permanent basis.

Lowhills Animal Sanctuary (Formally The Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Society) was founded in 2005 by Sophie Peacock. LAS is a non-profit specialised sanctuary and rescue based in Rugby currently only caring for cats due to having a small space for the rescue and sanctuary. Tha sanctuary side takes care of cats that are unable to be rehomed due to on-going medical reasons, age, have specific need

s or can't live in a normal household. All cats in need of a new home will be posted with their details and homes they will be looking for. All homes are homechecked and donations apply. LAS operates a non-destruction policy unless our vets have said otherwise and all other options have been considered and exhausted. LAS rehabilitates using positive reinforcement, learning theory and science based methods to try and give the animal a chance at being rehomed. LAS occasionally has dogs, chickens, horses and other animals depending on space and being able to fulfill those animals needs. Lowhills Animal Sanctuary have had a hard time in 2020 with both fundraising and rehoming due to Covid-19, if you would like to make a monetary donation, our PayPal is [email protected] (friends and family option so we don't get charged) and our Amazon Wishlist is here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/I47B7VH15MS4?ref_=wl_share

LAS is located in a residential property so viewing, when we are able is by appointment only. Donations of cat food, toys, litter, scratch posts etc are very welcome, please send a message and collection can be made or a drop off point is available.

Beautiful semi-feral flirty went to the vets to be neutered today, she's from a colony on a housing estate that missed the last round of neuterings. No more babies for you!

She was very annoyed at me yesterday and this morning but was an angel for the vets 😆

She'll spend a few days recovering with me and then head back to her friends.

Thank you so much to Vets for Pets Rugby & Rugby Central for neutering the 3 abandoned cats that were found wrapped in a duvet and left as rubbish for no-one to find. Thankfully someone did and they are safe.

Jodie one of the vet nurses amazingly transported them to meet the team at Peterborough Cat Rescue to continue their rescue journey and find a new home as I can't take any extra in at the moment due to some renovating I'm having done on the cat pen.

Amazing. Good luck beauties ❤️

Thank you, Ivy is now sorted.

*Direct Rehoming*

Ivy is looking for a new home as her owner has sadly had a change in circumstances and can no longer look after her. Ivy was originally from me as a kitten, but to save too much upheaval, Ivy will stay as long as possible in her home until a new one can be found.

Ivy is 2.5 years old, female, neutered and chipped. She is an indoor cat and would need to be indoors in her new home too.

Ivy can live with another friendly cat or on her own and she's lived with children in a busy household. She's a real fusspot, loving, and quite a dinky cat with great character.

Please e-mail [email protected] for further information on rehoming and booking a visit to see her. A homecheck will be carried out prior to rehoming.

Is there anyone able to offer a mid to long term foster for 2 female, neutered cats? All expenses paid, food, litter etc with the potential to offer a forever home?

Must be pet free, indoor only and live as part of the family. One very nervous cat, the other quite active.

Please e-mail if possible so we can discuss further on [email protected]

When taking one small step leads to a whole new you.

Tiger is one of our semi-feral cats. Over the past few months of re-organising our sanctuary, the cats have had chance to experience more freedom and to have access to more areas of our home.

Tiger has slowly been coming into the house on a regular basis after previously choosing to stay further away.

Here he is gaining confidence day by day, taking small steps that lead to bigger steps and being near us and not always running away.

He's always got his feline friends nearby to aid in his confidence and our rehab cats are always doing such a fantastic job of showing some humans are worthwhile putting your trust in.
