💛 Let’s help Shine a Light bring their forever home to life! 💛

Here at Check Your Ducks HQ, we know just how incredible Shine a Light is. They have supported so many local families affected by cancer and have also been there for our very own Tracie throughout her cancer journey.

After moving five times in eight years, Shine a Light has finally found its forever home. Now they need the support of our amazing community to transform the space into the welcoming, comforting centre that so many families will rely on.

Whether you can donate, volunteer your time, or contribute items to help furnish and equip the new centre, every act of kindness will help bring this wonderful space to life.

A permanent home will allow Shine a Light to continue providing vital support, comfort and hope to children, families and anyone affected by cancer for many years to come.

🐥💃🚨 STOP EVERYTHING… THE QUEEN OF ADMIN IS LEAVING HER DESK! 🚨💃🐥

Yes, you read that right… Michelle Walsgrove, our very own Queen of Admin, is swapping spreadsheets, emails and bossing everyone around for sequins, spray tan and a Strictly dance floor! 😂🪩💃

And quite frankly… WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?! 🤣

Michelle is stepping WAYYYYY outside her comfort zone and taking part in Strictly Christmas on 11th & 12th December, all to raise money for the amazing Zoe’s Place. 💗🎄

We’ve seen Michelle keep the ducks in order… 🐥
We’ve seen her organise just about EVERYTHING… 📋
But now we get to see her DANCE! 👀😂

There may be tears.
There may be tantrums.
There may be questionable dance moves.
There WILL be glitter. ✨🤣

But one thing we know for sure…

Our friendly Check Your Ducks Cancer Support Group meets at Overslade Community Centre and is open to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer. Whether you’re living with cancer, supporting a loved one, or have been bereaved, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.
