Check Your Ducks would like to say a huge thank you to Here Comes The Girls for their amazing donation of £5,000.

This incredible contribution will help support local cancer charities and the families they work with, making a real difference in our community.

Here’s their story:

The idea for the Here Comes The Girls 12-mile Pink Walk began in January following the diagnosis of Anne-Marie’s breast cancer in June 2025.

What started as a small idea quickly grew into something truly special, creating an incredible community of support. A weekly walking group was established, welcoming anyone who wanted to get involved and show their support.

On Saturday 25th April, 126 amazing women came together to walk 12 miles in aid of breast cancer awareness. The event concluded with a wonderful celebration at Christ the King, marking the success of a truly inspiring community effort.

From everyone at Check Your Ducks, thank you to all the walkers, supporters, volunteers, and especially Here Comes The Girls for your generosity, determination, and commitment to supporting those affected by cancer. Your £5,000 donation will help us continue supporting local cancer charities and the families who need them most. 💛🦆

Have you noticed a mole that’s changed shape, colour, size, or become itchy or sore? Don’t ignore it. Early detection of skin cancer can save lives.

When you’re applying sunscreen or cooling off after being outside, take a moment to check your skin too. Look out for:
🔎 Changes in size or shape
🔎 Uneven edges
🔎 Multiple colours in one mole
🔎 Bleeding, crusting, or itching
🔎 Anything new or unusual

If something doesn’t look right, get it checked by a healthcare professional.

☀️ Supporting Shine A Light Tomorrow at The Bear ☀️

A huge shout out to the amazing event taking place tomorrow at The Bear in Bilton, Rugby, in aid of Shine A Light ✨

Shine A Light is one of our wonderful outlets who support us, and we love supporting them right back. They are an incredible charity providing crucial support for children, young people up to the age of 24 who are affected by childhood cancer 💛

The Bear Pub is hosting this fantastic event to help raise money for the charity, so why not come along, enjoy the sunshine ☀️, support local businesses and have a great afternoon with the community.

One of our ducklings will also be there with his stall! 🐥
Jacob from JW 3D Prints will be showcasing his amazing 3D printed creations, so please pop along and say hello 👋

They also stepped up tonight when we were locked out of our usual support group venue, not only offering us a quiet space but also not charging us for drinks and providing snacks, we are so very grateful 🥹🐥🩷💣

We would like to wish Hannah, our wonderful Check Your Ducks photographer, the very best of luck this weekend as she takes to the dance floor with her dance partner, Tom.

They are raising funds for The Eamon Fallon Goalkeeper Charity, the Fallon family’s charity, and we are incredibly proud to support them.

Some of you may remember Jackie, our wonderful choreographer, who taught all of our contestants to dance for both of our Strictly events. It’s lovely to see familiar faces continuing to support such meaningful causes.
