I’m sure the girls in our unit will be very excited to see the new uniform when it is fully revealed tomorrow.

We try to include some sort of craft activity every week, even if it is “just” colouring-in. But there is no “just” about it - it hones fine motor skills, encourages the girls to be creative with colour and to share (some colours are always in short supply!) - and, importantly, our Rainbows love it!
This week, these two were really excited to show me that they’d chosen the same egg pictures to colour-in and used the same colour scheme.
Easter egg twins!

The 300 crocus bulbs that the girls planted back in October are in full bloom and are adding a glorious bit of colour to the entrance of the village hall. It’s lovely to think that the girls will see them every year and be able to say “I did that”.

Last week we made binoculars for RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch and the girls were very excited to tell us about the lovely birds they saw at the weekend.

Earlier this month, at our last meeting of term, we gave out an amazing 145 badges to our wonderful Rainbows, including 15 Guiding for Good badges for local community work (planting bulbs outside our hall), plus lots of amazing badges from the Girlguiding programme, including 24 Theme Awards, 22 Skill Builders, 7 Bronze, 4 Silver and 2 Gold Awards!
We are immensely proud of our girls and all they have achieved (and are grateful to their parents/ grandparents for sewing on all those badges 😉) and hope they have a wonderful Christmas break.
