DONATION TO HAMPSHIRE AND ISLE OF WIGHT AIR AMBULANCE
Thanks to the generosity of local people the Meon Valley Lions Club have been able to donate £2144.00 to fund new a crew helmet. Whether it’s doctors, paramedics, fundraising teams or volunteers – every member of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance workforce plays a vital part in providing Hampshire and Isle of Wight with a life-saving Air Ambulance service.

50th and final Fishing Festival organised by the Ford Sports and Social Sea Angling Club and the Meon Valley Lions Club, was held on Weston Shore on 18th January. Over 50 fishermen took part with the lucky winners taking prizes incl. cash of £400 and £200: Ian Barclay (3lbs 4oz); Simon Ayrs (2lb 10oz); Nathan West (2lb 9oz).

The festival's chief organiser is Peter Oates from the Ford Sea Angling Club, pictured here with Ian Barclay the final winner, has done a brilliant organising the event over the last 30 years.
Over this time, the Club has donated to Naomi House & Jacksplace and more recently to Rose Road Association a total of £50,000.
