It’s getting nippy outside - if you’re in need of a warm coat or jacket then pop into the Mariners Chapel and pick yourself one off the rail! If you find yourself with a spare warm jacket then you’re also more than welcome to pop one ON the rail! Let’s keep Rowhedge warm this winter!

Hello Rowhedge…
It’s almost CAB time!
If you’re starting off the advent of Autumn with a legal problem or you’re needing advice that Google can’t help you with, then don’t forget that Mariners Chapel and the Foodbank host a representative of the Citizens Advice Bureau on the first Monday of every month - and that’s tomorrow!
If you’d like to come and have a private chat with CAB then we do still have two slots available on Monday 1st September one at 4pm and one at 5.30pm - if you’d like to grab one of these slots then please message the page and we’ll get you in the diary.
Please pass this info on to anyone in the village that you think might need it - we are so lucky to have such an asset on our doorstep 💖

Good evening Rowhedge!
What a wonderful weekend we’ve had both weather wise and also with the Rowhedge Art trail showcasing all the incredible talent we have in our community 💕
This is just a little reminder that the Citizens Advice Bureau still attends the Mariners Chapel during Foodbank hours on in the FIRST Monday each month. Due to the May bank holiday last week - the CAB will be attending tomorrow and is already fully booked - so please don’t come down unless you’ve already secured your slot.
The next available day will be Monday 2nd June from 4pm last slot at 5.30pm. If you’d like to book we’d suggest doing it now as these appointments go so quickly! Just message on here or call the community number pinned on this page and we’ll get you sorted!
The Foodbank will be open at 4pm tomorrow for donations as well as for food parcels for those that need them .

Slow Cooker Club recipe last week was Campfire stew and we had some amazing pictures from one family who said "It makes so much so I have frozen some portions for later to use on the evening after work. It was a little spicy for my child so next time I will use less garlic and chilli. I loved it though"

Slow Cooker Club has started again and 7 families are taking part.
Last weeks Slow Cooker Club recipe was Easy Chicken Casserole and the following pictures were taken to show the process.
Keep the pictures coming it's great to see how the dishes come out.
This weeks recipe is Campfire Stew - a very popular recipe with families last time we ran the club.

A big thankyou to all those groups and individuals who have contributed donations to the Rowhedge Foodbank.
These donations have been either as cash or in kind through food donations at the Coop and also through people dropping off at the Foodbank on a Monday between 4.00 – 6.00.
Village organisations that have kindly donated money were:
Village Lunch Club
Rowhedge Recyclers
Village Fashion Show at the British Legion
This time the Village Club and Rowhedge Recyclers donations are being used for the Slow Cooker Club which runs for 6 weeks providing families with a slow cooker and weekly ingredients for a reasonably priced, delicious recipe which the families cook in the slow cooker. This project has been running for nearly 3 years now and comments from families have been very positive.
The Fashion Show donation has gone to the Mariners Hardship Fund which is helping a number of families over the Christmas period.

Foodbank is open tonight, 9th, 16th and 23rd December. We will be close
