Ladies & Gentlemen of Rowhedge, the 2027 Rowhedge Regatta needs you 👉

The RRA AGM is taking place on Tuesday, September 8th, 7pm, upstairs meeting room of Ye Olde Albion Pub. The first part of the meeting involves the current committee members, and the selection of the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Following on from this, is the opportunity for other people to become committee members. We really need more members to share the tasks, bring fresh ideas and build on the success of this year's Regatta.

We meet once a month, on the third Tuesday, upstairs in Ye Olde Albion. If you would like to get involved, or would like more information, please comment below, send a message or email us at [email protected]

Congratulations to Anne Walker, the winner of our very first Spirit of the Regatta photo competition. We had a good selection to choose from and Anne was thrilled to receive her framed copy of her winning photo yesterday.
We look forward to seeing even more entries in 2027. It would be lovely to see entrants in the under 18 competition next year too.

⛵️ Rowhedge Regatta 2003 ⛵️

We are delighted to have been given these photos of the 2003 Regatta. Sarah Hewitt had found them when going through her late parents things.

Nick Baker has kindly identified the boats & their history for us, and the photos will be stored by Rowhedge Heritage Trust for future enjoyment.

ROWHEDGE REGATTA 2026 WINNERS – CONGRATULATIONS!

Smacks
Winner fast smacks Maria.
Winner slow smacks Skylark.
Only Maria and Skylark raced back to Rowhedge the others just went up without racing.
Skylark won the Lilley trophy for first back to Rowhedge, the Rowhedge Dash.

Gig Races
Team Yorkshire Roses won the gig race. Well done all.

Dog Show
The Dog Show was a great success - 16 entrants - many others watching, the space was packed. All entrants received a rosette and home baked biscuit, winners got a ‘doggy bag’ (what else for such a (howling?!) success…?

Gorgeous Gal- OPAL -beige colour with beautiful eyes! (Owner- Sian)

Golden Oldie - SKY - border collie black, white, grey (owner Nigel)

Waggiest Tail -PONTY- cockapoo, Merle colour (owner - Gail)

Well done all, especially to Karen and Lauren our visiting organisers and John Ley - our visiting judge

Rowhedge’s Got Talent
Lucy Vaughan, our adult winner delighted the crowd by singing before the start of the junior RGT, which was won by Charlie Hobbs, who wowed us all by singing and accompanying himself on keyboards.

Crabbing Competition
Charlie Watson beat getting on for 100 other children in the crabbing competition with a 110g crab. He must be the village expert as he also won last year!
