Acorns Preschool Roughton

Acorns Preschool Roughton (formerly known as Roughton Under 5s playgroup) has been established for over 25 years. It is operated in the grounds of St Mary’s Endowed Primary School. We are a charitable organisation which is solely managed by a Committee.

The primary purpose of the preschool is to provide quality care and early education through play from age 2 to school age.

This is achieved with our dedicated team of qualified staff who work in conjunction with the EYFS guidelines. At Acorns Preschool we believe that learning is best achieved through play and we provide all different activities to suit your childs individual interests. This includes indoor and outdoor activities. We encourage as much outside play as possible, including woodland learning.

We are registered and inspected by Ofsted and comply with the Ofsted guidelines. The safeguarding of our children is our highest priority. All of our staff and committee members are fully trained in Safeguarding and Prevent and all hold Enhanced DBS checks. Our policies are regularly reviewed to keep up to date with any changes that arise. These are available for you to view either via our website or in the playgroup.
