📜History day 2! Rothley’s Community Centre has always been shaped by the people who care about this village.
In its early years, the building was closely linked to the Levy family — a household known for public service and civic leadership.
Sir Maurice Levy served as MP for Loughborough for nearly two decades, while his brother, Sir Lionel Levy, played a national role as Minister of Peace during the First World War, working on the difficult task of rebuilding and reconciliation.
That spirit of service runs right through to today. From volunteers and trustees to the residents who use the space, this building has always been powered by community effort.
📆Pop in on Sunday and have a look around, and become part of the story.
