Two weeks ago today, we were proud to be announced as 2nd Place winners at the British Pipe Band Championships — and we’re still buzzing from the result! 🏆🎶

Here’s a clip from our 2nd place performance.🥁

A little fun fact: the beautiful slow air featured in this set was composed by our own Pipe Major, Neil Gillies, in memory of the late 7th Marquis of Bute, Johnny Bute. 🎵

Thanks to everyone who continues to support the band, whether that’s travelling to competitions, helping behind the scenes, or cheering us on from the sidelines. The support from our families, friends, and followers is always appreciated.👏🏻

We hope you enjoy the clip!

📣 Rothesay & District Pipe Band – 2026 Season Dates Announced! 🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The 2026 season is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one for Rothesay & District Pipe Band, and we’re looking forward to getting out across Scotland to play, compete, and represent our community.

A special milestone this year is that Ayr Highland Games will be the first competition for our Novice Band in their new grade, Novice Juvenile B. The Kids has worked incredibly hard to reach this stage, and we’re all excited to see them take to the competition field for the first time in their new grade. ⭐️

👏 Come along, cheer us on, and support your local band! 🥁🎶

🏆🎶 What a fantastic day for our 3B Band!

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved 2nd place at the British Championships today. This is an incredible accomplishment, and every member of the band should be immensely proud of their hard work, dedication, and performance.

We’ll be arriving home off the last ferry and playing off the boat, so come along and help us celebrate! We’d love to see as many supporters as possible there to welcome the band home and watch us march off the boat in celebration of this fantastic achievement. 🥈🥁🎶

Today, members of both our Grade 3 and Novice bands were out in the town playing for the very first Isle of Bute Tartan Day. 🥁🎶

We were proud to lead the parade along the prom and be part of such a fantastic community event.

A special well done to one of our novice tenor drummer, David Zavaroni, who was nominated as a Tartan Ambassador 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
