The play park is open Caledonia Play have been on site to fix the swing after a temporary fix was needed due to some vandalism. Work is also needed on the seesaw but that should be back in use tomorrow.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLAY PARK ON THE PROM ⚠️

Please be advised that the play park on the Prom is NOT yet open for public use.

While we understand the excitement surrounding the new facility, the park remains a construction site and has not been officially handed over or deemed safe for use. For the safety and wellbeing of all children, we respectfully ask that nobody enters or uses the play equipment until the official opening takes place.

New fencing will be erected around the site and this is expected to be completed next week.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation. The wait is nearly over, and we look forward to welcoming families to the park once it is officially open and safe for everyone to enjoy.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped give such a warm welcome to the visitors from the Seabourn cruise ship on Friday 8th May.

To our taxi drivers, bus drivers, local businesses, volunteers, and the wider island community — your friendliness, hospitality, and support helped create a wonderful experience for all our guests.

We are proud to showcase the very best of our island and community spirit, and your efforts made the day truly special. Thank you all for playing your part and making our visitors feel so welcome.
