The REAL day in the life of a Foster Carer
🏫 Early starts, school runs, making sure everyone’s ready for the day ahead, school run
💻 Training, meetings, admin and all the day to day stuff like making sure the fridge is stocked up, the washing machine on constant
👂Checking in after school and not just “how was your day?” but really listening to them
🍝 Helping with homework, sorting tea, fitting in appointments, paperwork, and all the other bits in between
Some days are calm and some are a bit more full on but they’re always a day well spent, even if you feel defeated at the end remember you’ve still turned up for somebody else and made a difference
At the heart of it is always the same thing, being there, showing up, and giving a child a safe, steady place to be themselves
