Today we have made some further additions to the recently installed bog garden and added a front to the surround. We have also placed a few cyclamen to the borders to help bind it and to give some welcome colour.

Following our previous post regarding the mysterious bird call from a volunteers neighbours garden we can now reveal what it is....I've never heard chickens like that before.
At least we now know what it is.

Can anybody help identify what bird might be making this call from a neighbouring garden. It starts at about 6am each day, from the same area, for an hour or so and then we don't really hear it until the next morning.
Theere are two clear calls on the attached video and you can hear carrion crows nearby between the two.

One of our volunteers found this caterpillar in her garden yesterday, not in the graveyard, and we have identified it as a Puss Moth caterpillar that will cocoon over winter and emerge in the spring as a rather good looking moth.
