All of us at Age UK are deeply saddened by the news that Dame Esther Rantzen DBE, who founded our Silver Line Helpline, has died. Esther was a true inspiration who helped support thousands of lonely older people through The Silver Line Helpline. We send our heartfelt condolences to Dame Esther's family 💜

🔵 Speak to your GP to assess your risk and talk about balance

🔵 Making small changes around your home can really help reduce the risk of falling

Did you know that you can get a refund for TV Licence Savings Stamps?
So, if you still have any lying around, find out below how you can get your money back.

- Check drawers, books, folders or storage boxes where old paperwork may be kept
- Look out for small, rectangular “TV Licence” stamps showing a sterling monetary value (often orange, brown, green or blue)
- Take action as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the deadline

Savings stamps can no longer be used to pay for a TV Licence, but they can be refunded by cheque if claimed before 31 December 2026.
