This garden is more than just a green space. It's a place where carers, people living with dementia, and our wider community can relax, connect, reminisce and enjoy the many benefits that nature can bring!

Thank You, South Yorkshire 💜.

Last week was Carers Week and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate, support and recognise unpaid carers across Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster and the wider South Yorkshire region.

From coffee mornings, canal boat trips and cream teas, to community events, pop-up shops and even a trip to Sheffield DocFest, we've had an incredible week bringing carers together and raising awareness of the vital role they play every day.

Thank you to Jason White and the team at Next, Ethel Trust Community Barges, Birley Moor Garden Centre, Grandpa Joe's Potting Shed, Lakeside Village, Sheffield DocFest, and all the venues, volunteers, partner organisations and supporters who made these events possible.

There are far too many people to name individually, but please know how grateful we are for your support, kindness and community spirit.

Most importantly, thank you to the carers themselves. Your dedication, resilience and compassion do not go unnoticed.

The Crossroads Care Charity team are set up alongside Sheffield City Council and District Nurses, offering FREE blood pressure checks and information for unpaid carers.

We also have a wonderful team here to demonstrate the Carers Connect App - a fantastic tool designed to help carers access support, information and resources all in one place.

This week, we're hosting a range of friendly Carers Groups and drop-in sessions across South Yorkshire, and we'd love to welcome you and the person you care for.

Our groups are a chance to take a break, meet others who understand, enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and find out more about the support available to carers in your local area.

Happy Carers Week! 💜

Our Dementia Day Centre has been full of smiles today, with reading, crosswords, crochet, jigsaws and even our own rendition of Yellow Submarine 🎶.

At Crossroads Care Rotherham, our Dementia Day Centres provide a safe, welcoming space for people living with dementia to enjoy meaningful activities, friendship, a freshly prepared lunch, and plenty of tea and coffee.

They also give carers valuable time to rest, recharge, attend appointments or simply enjoy a well-earned break, knowing their loved one is being supported by our caring team.

We offer:
💜 Half-day sessions – £50.55
💜 Full-day sessions – £80.25
💜 We currently have 4 places available on Thursdays
💜 A new Friday Dementia Day Centre is coming soon
