🚨💔 WE THOUGHT OUR DAY WAS OVER… THEN THE PHONE RANG. 💔🚨

We were exhausted, finally about to sit down and eat…

Then came an emergency cry for help.

A tiny puppy. Only a few months old. No longer wanted.

Not microchipped.
Not vaccinated.
Left alone for hours on end.
And about to be discarded like rubbish.

Dinner could wait.

This little boy couldn’t.

Within 30 minutes of receiving that call, he was SAFE and part of the Adoptapaws family.

Tonight he has food in his tummy, a warm bed and people around him who actually care.

Tomorrow we start putting right everything that should already have been done, health checks, vaccinations, microchip and whatever else this little man needs.

And we need YOUR HELP.

Team Adoptapaws are at the Norfolk Showground this weekend for the
All About Dogs Show!

Is it raining? YES.
Well… being from Yorkshire, we’d say it’s CHUCKING IT DOWN!

But is it dampening Team Adoptapaws’ spirits?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

We’re nearly all set up, everything’s coming together and we’re ready for what’s going to be a BRILLIANT Bank Holiday weekend!

And we have it on very good authority — otherwise known as Vics’ weather app that tomorrow is going to be warm and sunny!

PLEASE WELCOME THE DELIGHTFUL DOLLY INTO THE ADOPTAPAWS FAMILY

Some dogs walk into your life and very quickly find their way straight into your heart…

We think Dolly is going to be one of those dogs.

At just 16 months old, this gorgeous little Frenchie is quite simply a bundle of love wrapped up in fur with four little paws.

Dolly absolutely adores people. Adults, children, she doesn’t mind. If you have love to give, Dolly is more than happy to receive it… and give you twice as much back.

She’s also wonderful with other dogs and has such a sweet, sociable nature.

But what Dolly really wants is her person.

Someone she can follow from room to room.
Someone whose feet she can curl up beside.
Someone to snuggle with on the sofa.
Someone she can greet like she hasn’t seen them for a week… even if they only popped to the loo!

Because Dolly wants to be your best friend, your companion and your little shadow.

She doesn’t want fancy things.

She just wants to belong.

To know where home is.
To know who her humans are.
And to know that when she closes her eyes at night, she is exactly where she is meant to be.

PLEASE WELCOME RED INTO THE ADOPTAPAWS FAMILY

Meet gorgeous Red, a very handsome 3 year old Poodle who is quite simply absolutely wonderful.

Red is a happy, friendly and sociable boy with such a lovely nature.

Wonderful with adults
Great with children
Friendly and sociable with other dogs
And gets on well with cats too

A gorgeous boy with so much love to give

Red is off to the groomers very soon for a little pamper and makeover, so watch this space… more photos of our freshly coiffed handsome chap will be coming soon!

Red really is the kind of boy who will make a fabulous addition to a family.

PLEASE WELCOME LARS INTO THE ADOPTAPAWS FAMILY.

Just look at that beautiful face!

Lars is around 6 months old, with the most gorgeous gentle nature — but his little life could have turned out very differently.

Lars was found after being attacked by a pack of dogs.

Thankfully, this is where his luck changed.

The wonderful vet who cared for him following the attack fell for this special boy and is now fostering him in her own home, where he lives alongside four older dogs and around 30 cats!

And Lars has settled straight into home life… perhaps a little too well!

He even sleeps on his foster mum’s bed and has definitely decided that home comforts are something he could get used to!

He’s a typical goofy, happy puppy who loves life. He sometimes chases the cats because he wants them to play — there’s absolutely no aggression, just lots of excitable puppy enthusiasm and a slight misunderstanding that not every cat wants to be his best friend!

Lars is very friendly with other dogs, loves his food and is eager to learn, which should make training this clever little chap much easier.

He’s discovering how much fun walkies can be and travels calmly in the car, too.

Most importantly, despite what happened to him, Lars thankfully seems to have put that frightening experience behind him. He’s simply getting on with the very important business of being a happy puppy.

We expect Lars to grow to around 18kg of pure fun, mischief and love once fully grown.

Now he just needs the final piece of his story…

A forever family of his very own.

PLEASE WELCOME LITTLE CINDERS TO THE ADOPTAPAWS FAMILY

Sometimes you hear a story and you just can’t understand how anyone could be so cruel.

A lovely vet was driving home when she spotted a tiny black bundle, completely alone in the middle of nowhere.

There were no houses nearby. No mum. No other dogs.

Just Cinders… surrounded by dumped rubbish.

She immediately stopped and searched the whole area in case there were other puppies nearby, but none were found.

And at approximately 8 weeks old, there is absolutely no way this tiny baby, weighing only 2kg, wandered all that way by herself.

CINDERS HAD BEEN DUMPED WITH THE RUBBISH AND LEFT THERE TO DIE ALONE.

Thankfully, the right person happened to drive down that road.

Instead of spending the night frightened, cold and alone amongst rubbish, Cinders is now tucked up safely with her foster family.

She’s learning all about house rules, manners and, most importantly, what it feels like to be safe and loved.

And now she is officially part of the Adoptapaws family.

Of course, we do have one very important question…

WHAT ON EARTH IS SHE?!

She’s around 2 months old, only 2kg, has fairly small paws and currently resembles a small black fluffy cloud with legs.

We’ve been debating what she may be, but have we finally discovered a brand-new breed?

The Black Fluff Ball 😂😂

Whatever she turns out to be, one thing is certain:

Cinders will never be rubbish again.

She matters.
She is safe.
She is loved.

But now she needs the final chapter of her story…

Could Cinders be the missing piece needed to complete your family?

SOMETIMES “THANK YOU” JUST DOESN’T FEEL ENOUGH

Over the last week, we’ve visited a few of our local fire stations with some treats, just a small gesture for some truly incredible people.

While we sleep safely in our beds, these men and women are answering calls, facing danger and working exhausting hours to protect our homes, our countryside, our animals and, most importantly, lives.

We’ve seen first-hand recently just how quickly fire can take hold, and knowing these amazing people are there when the unthinkable happens means more than we can put into words.

A few treats will never repay what they do, but we hope they show just how incredibly grateful we are.

To every firefighter who leaves their own family to go out and protect someone else’s…

Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for your dedication.
Thank you for keeping humans and animals safe.

You really are heroes, and we appreciate you more than you will ever know.
