RAW People is looking for a passionate and compassionate Mental Health Peer Support Worker to join our team, working alongside people experiencing mental health difficulties to support recovery, build confidence, reduce isolation and create hope for the future.

💙 Your lived experience matters. We believe that people who have walked a similar path are uniquely placed to support others. Whether your experience is personal or as a carer, your insight can make a real difference to someone else's recovery journey.

📍 Based across Rotherham, including RDaSH, RAW People and community settings
💷 Salary: £26,227.50
⏰ 37.5 hours per week
📅 Closing Date: 2nd October 2026

As a Peer Supporter, you will:

✅ Provide one-to-one and group peer support
✅ Share hope, encouragement and recovery-focused guidance
✅ Help people access services, activities and community opportunities
✅ Work alongside NHS and community teams to support recovery

We're looking for someone with:
✔ Lived experience of mental health services (as an individual or carer)
✔ Excellent communication skills
✔ An understanding of recovery and the importance of peer support
✔ A passion for helping others thrive

🌟 Domestic Abuse Champions at RAW People 🌟

We're proud to share that Rebecca and Jess have recently completed training with Hopian and are now recognised Domestic Abuse Champions.

If you attend any of our groups and have concerns about a relationship, are experiencing difficulties at home, or simply want to find out what support is available in Rotherham, you can ask to speak with Rebecca or Jess privately. They can provide a safe, non-judgemental space to listen and help connect you with the right support services.

Remember, you don't have to face things alone. 💜

To mark Sexual Health Week 2026 (14 to 20 September), RotherHive has launched a new Sexual Health section, providing local information, advice and support to help people make informed choices about their sexual health and wellbeing.

The section brings together a range of trusted information and signposts users to local services, making it easier for people to access the support they need.
