ANOTHER NEW CLASS ALERT!!! 📣📣📣

Starting Wednesday 22nd April we have new line dancing classes starting at Rossett Village Hall. We will be dancing 7:30-9:30pm each week (apart from the 2nd week of each month when Rossett WI Darland Divas have the hall - if you're not already a member, why not pop along as they have many interesting sessions on throughout the year).

Just like at our Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham classes (Thursday afternoons 12-2pm and Friday evenings 7-9pm) there will be a break midway for refreshments - hot/cold drink and a biscuit for a bargain price of 50p - and we will have an optional raffle for £1 a ticket. Each class gets to put nominations forward for the charity they want to benefit from the raffle, with the weekly prize being a 'Class-Pass' for a free session.

All sessions are £5 each and suitable for absolute beginners and beginners. Well-behaved children are welcome - half-price if dancing, free if accompanying their parent/guardian. Thank you to Darland Divas WI - Rossett for inviting me to teach your group this evening. You all danced fabulously and I could see so many people having a great time and really getting into the dancing. From the chats we have had with everyone this evening we are looking at availability to try and put a regular class on at the hall, so hopefully we will have more details on this soon.

Until then I hope to see some of you at our classes in Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham on a Thursday afternoon 12-2pm and/or a Friday evening 7-9pm.

Last night we were joined by K's Kicks Linedancing & Country Events who taught us to line dance & we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

❓Did you know…..

🧵Darland Divas owns a few sewing machines that members can borrow for projects at home.

🌸We also run some sessions where members can learn how to use the sewing machines together, or other forms of craft such as these beautiful hand made flowers.

🎂 Our wonderful Book Club has had it's 1st Birthday 🎂

We reviewed 2 books this month, the Theme was a book with animals. We couldn't decide on 1 so we did 2 : Penguin Lessons 🐧 and Remarkably Bright Creatures 🐙.

We also took some time to reflect on our choice of novels to date and shared a lively discussion on the potential choices for the next 12 months.

📣 Darland Divas Book Club is Subgroup of Darland Divas WI. You need to be a member of Rossett WI to participate.

📣 We meet 11 times year and our new programme kicks off this April with Line Dancing - details to follow.

📣 We’re very excited to share the events we have lined up for the next 12 months.

🗓️ We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 7.30-9.30pm at Rossett village hall.

🌻 Visitors are very welcome, at £5 per session. After 2 visits, we politely ask you to join our group, or become a multi member, if already a member of another WI.

Our March meeting celebrated International Women’s Day. We enjoyed some face yoga with the wonderful Zara Groves, and ended the evening with a fun quiz.
