I couldn't find the words to wish this beautiful boy a happy heavenly 5th birthday today, so thought I'd reshare his story. Maybe you read his story the first time we shared it or maybe Stephen's story is new to you 🩵 whichever it maybe as always we only suggest reading it if you feel able.

Stephen you were only here for a short while but you changed the lives of so many and you continue doing so 🩵 you are loved and remembered every day xx

“I could never survive that…”

That’s what people say
when it hasn’t happened to them.

Because when your baby is here,
safe in your arms,
breathing, crying, needing you…

loss feels impossible.

Unreal.

Like something that only happens
in other people’s stories.

But the truth is…

there are mothers walking around right now
with empty arms
and hearts that will never fully recover.

Mothers who still wake up every day
even though the life they knew is gone.

Mothers who don’t get to hear “mama” anymore
but still answer to it in their head.

You don’t know what you could survive
until life forces you to.

And some of the strongest people you’ll ever meet
are the ones who never wanted to be.

Tonight at 7pm The global Wave of Light brings Baby Loss Awareness Week to a close. Please join us by lighting a candle for 1 hour at 7 pm to remember all the babies gone too soon.

The last day for adding your hearts to the Baby Loss Awareness Week memorial tomorrow Wednesday 15th October at The Prospect.
Hearts can be collected from St Mary’s Church, Ross-on-Wye, Stanwells Pet Styling and Hamilton Stiller Estate Agents

A beautiful and poignant start to we have more hearts to deliver to our drop off points tomorrow. Thinking of all these families who have been up to place a heart so far 💔
The memorial and hearts will be available and in place until the 15th October when Baby loss awareness week comes to an end 🩵🩷💛

From today at midday until Wednesday 15th October we invite you to tie a heart to the railings at The Prospect in memory of a baby gone too soon.
Hearts will be available from (midday Thursday 9th) inside St Mary’s Church, Ross-on-Wye t Mary’s Church, Stanwells Pet Styling or Hamilton Stiller Estate Agents.
Or you are welcome to bring your own knitted/crocheted heart down if you wish.
