Dear residents of Rosehearty,
The Rosehearty Community Council members met yesterday for our Annual General Meeting. During the meeting, we:

• Elected our office bearers
• Approved our annual accounts
• Reflected on the projects delivered over the past year
• Agreed our plans and priorities for the Summer

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ross Rennie, Chartered Accountant, for checking our annual accounts and keeping us on track. We know how busy Ross is and we truly appreciate his ongoing support and willingness to help.

It has been another busy year for us and we are excited about what lies ahead!

We are pleased to confirm our office bearers for the coming year:
• Chair: Linda Watt
• Vice Chair: Donna Marie Gray
• Secretary & Treasurer: Kasia Balina

We are also delighted to welcome two new members:
• Peggy Cook, who has recently joined us
• Michelle Bolt, who has returned to Rosehearty Community Council
Welcome on board Peggy and Michelle – it’s great to have you with us! 😊

Rosehearty continues to look better and better each year. We are incredibly proud of this place and the strong community spirit that makes it such a special place.

While we will be taking a well-deserved break from meetings and administration over the summer, our work doesn’t stop. Over the coming months, we will be focusing on:

• Refreshing the shelter and the public toilet doors
• Maintaining our beautiful beach
• Removing seaweed and continuing our weeding efforts across the village
• Exploring locations and plans for a bike playground for our young residents
Watch this space!

Rosehearty Community Council Members (in alphabetical order):

A special thank you as well to our Ward 2 Councillors – Cllr Ross Cassie, Cllr Mark Findlater and Cllr Richard Menard and Aberdeenshire Council officers from Banff and Buchan Area Office, Landscape Services, Roads and Waste Teams for their continued support over the past year.

Finally, we encourage you to take a moment to read the closing report prepared by our Chair, Linda Watt.
Yours sincerely,
Rosehearty Community Council

We are delighted to see our Junior members Katie & Liam awarded with their Kings Badges
They have been an amazing help volunteering within the village for the Community Council, from planting flowers, beach cleans, litter picking, weeding the streets & pavements the list goes on!
So thank you so much for your help 1st Rosehearty Boys' Brigade and we look forward to having any President & Kings Badge candidates this year if they wish to help us

THE KING’S BADGE

At yesterday evening’s Parents Night we were immensely proud to see three of our Senior members presented with the King’s Badge - the highest award in the Boys’ Brigade.

From left to right Eimantas Pakenas, Katie Gray and Liam Burnett were presented with their awards by Inspecting Officer, Mr James Gray OBE.

In achieving the King’s Badge each candidate has made an impact in the Company and Community with their voluntary service. The badge also promotes self improvement in the pursuit of Skills, Physical and Expedition.

We congratulate all three recipients on this massive achievement and thank them for their service to the Company!
