Hi All!
Are you able to help please? RYC will be running a Tombola Stall at the Mayor's Picnic on Sunday 5 July 2026 in the Memorial Park. Do you have a tin of something, unused toiletries, unwanted gifts that you would be happy to donate to the stall? Could you bring an item to your club or drop it in to us at Unit 36, next door to Screw Fix? With your help, we can make this the best Tombola and raise lots of money for RYC.

Hi All Friendship Club members!
We are delighted to be working with James Aldridge, an accomplished artist, for a magical walk and creative exploration along the river Dun near Dunbridge. The event is funded by Wessex River Trust.

We will set off from the Appletree centre at 3.45pm on Thursday 18th June, so please make your way from school to club as soon as possible! Staying with school uniform is fine but please bring a change of shoes such as trainers.

Drop off will be back at the Appletree centre at 6.35 pm.

We will provide a small snack.

Info about ticks attached.

Please be aware there are no toilets on site.

This we want to highlight our wonderful Keira. Having joined when only 5 years old, Keira went all the way through RYC. She joined trips, activities, made new friends and spoke to amazing volunteers like Janet, one of our founding members as seen in the photo🫂

was a massive part of Keira's childhood, with memories she will treasure forever 🎨🌲⛺.

Now, being the caring, creative, resilient individual she is Keira is giving back! Volunteering in clubs and activities, Keira shares her experiences to help other young carers 💪🌟

We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated group of volunteers who we would not survive without! 💜💚

On Friday 12 June 2026, the Breakaway Club will be heading to King Edwards Prep School for a forest adventure. Please note the times are slightly different so please make sure you get to the Appletree Centre by 3.20pm at the latest! If you need a lift from school or back home, or back to the Appletree Centre, please let Keren know.

A big thank you to the Romsey Rotary Club and Southampton Magna Rotary Club for funding four places for young carers to take part in an expedition experience weekend in Wareham. The weekend was an opportunity for learning, bonding, building friendships and self-confidence, whilst offering a fun camping experience. One young carer told us 'Everything and everyone was amazing! The organisers, the activities, food, even the dogs! I particularly enjoyed the water fight and made lots of new friends'.

This comment shows just how important these experiences are for our young carers and how much they appreciate and grow from them. Thank you
