Romsey Beggars Fair - Saturday 11th July 2026

At The Romsey Show we are pleased to work with the Beggars Fair, providing music in our Food Zone on show day. Before our event they have their main event of the year coming up next month on 11th July!

Beggars Fair celebrates its 32nd event this year, as it fills Romsey's streets and venues with music, dance and street entertainment.

Romsey's annual free summer music festival attracts families and music lovers as they feast on 150 acts spread over 25 venues across the town. The best of local musicians will bring you an eclectic mix of folk, jazz, blues, soul, rock, bluegrass, classical and world music. This together with colourful dance displays and children's entertainment, there is plenty of entertainment on offer.

It's VOLUNTEERS WEEK and we love any opportunity to thank everyone who volunteers at The Romsey Show and our other events, giving up their time to support us as a charity!

We couldn't do it all without you, it's a great way to support the local community and make friends in the process...some of our volunteers have been helping for over 40 years and can't wait to see each other every year at the Show!

🦠 Equine Influenza Update: New Protocols for Competitions & Training Venues 🦠

Due to the recent rise in equine influenza (EI) cases across the UK, the Equine Infectious Diseases Action Group (EIDAG) is urging increased vigilance to help reduce further spread of the disease.

Many equestrian venues and governing bodies are now introducing stricter protocols, including passport checks on arrival and requirements for up-to-date vaccinations. Please check the rules of your governing body or venue before attending any event, clinic or arena hire.

We recommend that owners attending shows, competitions, camps or gatherings this summer should bring forward their horse’s annual vaccination to ensure that their horse has had a booster within the last six months. Owners should also monitor horses closely and take temperatures regularly. 💉

If introducing a new horse to your yard, ensure it is vaccinated before travel and quarantined before mixing with others.

⚠ If your horse shows any signs of equine flu, avoid attending gatherings and contact your vet for advice.

Volunteer stewards make The Romsey Show the fantastic event it is!

Without the help from hundreds of people offering their time we couldn't put on the show.

We are a charity and have volunteers helping all year round from initial plans to doing lots of work in the background with everything from maps to reviewing exhibitors, sourcing judges, reviewing schedules and more! Volunteers help set up the showground and cover every area of the showground on the day. Volunteers also come back after show day to help put it all away, leaving the rented site as we started - parkland for livestock.
