Today's the day, our Bake Sale and Donation Day - Friday 19th June!

We have a delectable selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats, all lovingly baked by our team, volunteers and our wonderful Ambassador Hanna Ever After, who's also joining us today!

Whether you're popping in for a slice of cake, a chat, or to drop off an item from our June Wish List, we'd love to see you. Everyone is welcome.

Every penny raised will support our Room to Grow Appeal, helping us create the space needed to support even more local families.

Join us tomorrow for a delicious selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats, all lovingly baked by our team, volunteers and our wonderful Ambassador who'll also be joining us on the day.

We're delighted to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of goPhysio’s 25 Hours of Movement Challenge as they celebrate an incredible 25 years of supporting local people.

Next Thursday 25th June to Friday 26th June, the team at goPhysio will be keeping Chandler’s Ford moving for 25 hours straight, all while raising funds for local charities and community causes, including Baby Necessities!

There are lots of ways to get involved, with sessions to suit all abilities and schedules. From Beginners Mat Pilates and online classes, to the more unique Pilates & Prosecco and Pilates in Pyjamas, there's something for everyone.

They never imagined they'd need help.

Just a few months ago, this little girl's family were doing okay.
Then both parents were made redundant, and their situation changed almost overnight.

Now, with finances stretched beyond their limits, they're facing their daughter's 3rd birthday knowing they can't give her the celebration they'd hoped for.

This family never imagined they'd be in this position. Today, we have the chance to show them they're not facing it alone.

We've created a tailored Amazon wish list (link in comments) filled with things she loves, including Barbie, Paw Patrol, arts and crafts, and even cleaning role play! If you're able, please consider buying a gift. Items start from just £2.45.

School holidays can bring extra pressure for families, from finding affordable activities to covering the cost of meals.

That's why we're sharing this opportunity from the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

This summer, around 20 HAF schemes will be running across Test Valley, offering free activities and meals for children and young people who receive benefit-related free school meals. Some additional places may also be available for children who could benefit from the programme.

Families can now browse local schemes and register their interest through the new booking system - link in comments. Anyone who registers will receive a reminder when bookings open.

If you know a family who may be eligible, please help spread the word.

Every child deserves the chance to play.

This International Day of Play, the theme is Protect Play, Protect Childhood.

At Baby Necessities, the toys we give out do far more than entertain. They help children learn, imagine, build confidence and experience the simple joy of being a child.

We're currently running low on toys and have seen a sharp increase in requests for toy bundles.

If you have good-quality, pre-loved toys for children aged 0–5, we'd love to receive them at one of our June donation days. Smaller toys are especially helpful, as many of the families we support are short on space.

🎂 Can you help make a little girl's first birthday special?

Next week, a little girl turns one.

After her mum fled extremely difficult circumstances, the family has only recently come into contact with support services. As soon as a health visitor was assigned, they referred her to our birthday service, but her big day is now less than a week away.

We'd love to make sure she has gifts to open on this special milestone, but we need your help to make it happen in time.

We've created a wish list especially for her, linked in the comments.

If you're able to buy a gift, please do so as soon as possible to give it the best chance of arriving before her birthday.

A first birthday only happens once.
Together, we can help make sure it's remembered for smiles, not circumstances.

📢 Urgent Request: Child's table and chairs needed! 🪑🍽

We have a referral for a 1 & 3 year old who have recently moved into temporary accomodation. They urgently need a table and two chairs to safely eat their meals and do activities.

Our space is too small to store this sort of item, so we need your help!
