Charity Networking Session

We’re excited to be a part of the next networking session for local charities and non-profits based in the Southern Test Valley area

πŸ“… Tuesday 16th June 2026
πŸ•– 7:00pm – 8:30pm
πŸ“ Appletree Centre

This session will be a little different as we’ll be introducing an exciting new opportunity we’ve been developing since our last meeting β€” the idea of a Romsey Charity Hub.

This is very much in the early stages, and we’re opening up the conversation to hear thoughts and ideas from local organisations on what this could become.

At the heart of this emerging vision are three shared values:

🀝 Connection – building stronger relationships across organisations
πŸ’› Wellbeing – supporting the people behind the work
🌍 Impact – strengthening outcomes for our communities

We’ll be sharing more about the idea, what it could offer, and how charities and non-profits could get involved as members of the hub.

If you work or volunteer in the sector, we’d love you to come along, hear more and be part of shaping it.

Please let us know if you can make it πŸ™

We would like to share this important petition with our community. πŸ’”

The petition relates to the tragic loss of a young woman, Niamh, after a long struggle with mental illness and physical disability. Her family are now campaigning for improvements in care, hoping that lessons can be learned and that her experience can help bring about positive change for others.

At Romsey Family Support Group, we work alongside families facing a wide range of challenges, and we know how vital it is that children, young people, and parents can access the right support when they need it. We believe that families' experiences should be listened to, and that services should continually learn and improve to better meet the needs of those who are most vulnerable.

This petition has been shared with us by someone who knows the family and wanted to help amplify their message.

If you have a few moments, please consider reading the petition and, if you feel able, adding your support.

Thank you for taking the time to read and help raise awareness of this important issue. πŸ’”

This week, we celebrate the incredible volunteers of RFSG whose dedication, compassion, and commitment make such a positive difference every day.

Whether they're giving their time, sharing their skills, supporting our events, or helping families in our community, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their generosity helps us reach more people, create lasting impact, and build stronger connections.

This Volunteers' Week, we're also proud to see our volunteers wearing their new RFSG uniforms. More than just a new look, the uniforms represent the pride, teamwork, and shared commitment that our volunteers bring to their roles every day. Thank you Direct4logos!

To each and every RFSG volunteer: thank you for your passion, kindness, and unwavering support. We are so grateful for all that you do. πŸ’œπŸ’š
