🎶 Another great workshop day! 🎶

Once again, Phil Shotton did what he does best — not only developing us as musicians and working on technique, but also making sure we enjoyed ourselves and had plenty of laughs along the way.

A brilliant day of learning, music-making and shared enthusiasm in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Huge thanks to Phil for his expertise, energy and humour — it’s always a pleasure to learn from him!

🎶 MEET THE TUTOR – Phil Shotton! 🎶

We’re thrilled to welcome the incredible Phil Shotton as the tutor for our Clarinet Workshop on Sunday, 8th February 2026 at the Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre, Romiley (SK6 3NE).

Phil is a highly sought-after performer, recording artist, conductor, and educator. He has performed alongside top national and international jazz artists, appeared at major festivals and venues across the UK and abroad, and released two albums under his own name.

As a conductor, Phil has directed ensembles in many of the UK’s leading concert halls and premiered several new works for wind orchestra and soloists.
With vast experience teaching from primary to postgraduate level — including masterclasses and workshops at conservatoires and universities — Phil brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and inspiration to every session.
