We received a lovely visit at the Sensory Garden from the Hornchurch Round Table on Friday.

We are so incredibly grateful to receive donations like this as it helps us to keep on top of maintenance and add new items to support residents with sensory impairments to enjoy the space!

This donation will go towards installing a fixed patio and pathway to the picnic area so that visitors can enjoy the space all year round, even when the grass area is mushy in January!

Thank you to the Hornchurch Round Table and to everyone that has supported them as your contributions enable them to help local charities like us!

‼️ THE UK IS HOTTING UP AGAIN‼️

We all love to feel a little warmer weather on our skin but its also important to remember some safety tips!

Help us to keep Havering safe this Summer by following a few of these tips:

‼️ - Dampen down your compost bins, piles and grass cuttings
‼️ - Do not throw lit ci******es on the ground or from car windows - put them out, right out!
‼️ - Avoid bonfires in high temperatures, embers can easily spark a fire in dry spells
‼️ - Make sure your BBQ is fully extinguished before walking away and avoid balcony BBQ's
‼️ - Have a chat with your children about wildfires and the consequences of starting them
‼️ - Help us keep the borough tidy, take your litter home or help litter pick, rubbish and bottles combined with heat and sun can help with starting fires

🌞 Remember to use your sunscreen, take water on your travels and please don't walk your pets in the heat of the day.

Check in on your neighbours, friends and family, especially if they are particularly vulnerable. 👫👭👬

Sunday's are made for spending time in beautiful spaces 😍
So that's exactly what we did today, popped over the the Sensory Garden in Harrow Lodge for a quick tinker and a water, 5 bags of green waste later we are exhausted but satisfied with a job well done! Lots of new plants in today, bees are loving them already!
If you’ve not visited yet, please do, so much to see, touch and smell!
