πŸ₯³ CONGRATULATIONS TO JONATHAN πŸ₯³

Who has just been awarded his 300 hours of volunteering for all of his dedication to volunteering at the St George's Health Hub in Hornchurch.

The Volunteers at St George's provide such a vital service to patients and visitors, whether that's a simple hello, directions, helping you to check in or just a chat to pass the time. They make the experience of visiting a health setting just a little more pleasant.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ AN AMAZING 100 HOURS AND AN INCREDIBLE 500 HOURS OF VOLUNTEERING πŸ‘πŸ‘

100 Hours of Volunteering was recently awarded to Geeta who joined the St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in February this year. Geeta had been a newsagent for 25+ years and is used to welcoming and chatting to people, those skills are perfect for the Health Hub as Geeta continues to bring a warm welcome to visitors at the Hub.

Gill also received her 500 Hours of Volunteering after joining the hub in January 2025. Gill has an amazing skill set having been a PA in the West End for 20+ years and also vast volunteering skills having volunteered with Samaritans, also a Home Start Befriender, as well as supporting reading development for senior school aged children. Her caring nature is perfect for the St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub as she generally cares about service visitors receive.

Well done to both Geeta and Gill who are part of such an amazing volunteer team!

πŸ₯³ HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR ST GEORGE'S HUB VOLUNTEERS πŸ₯³

Val received her 100 hours of volunteering certificate after joining the hub in January 2026. She had moved to the area, was looking to keep busy and meet new people and the hub definitely provides a great opportunity to meet lots of people!

Melvyn was awarded his 200 hours of volunteering after joining in September 2025. He had been part of the Upminster Round Table previously but was looking to undertake more formal volunteering and felt the hub was a great place to start!

Next to receive their 200 hours of volunteering is Bobbie who begun volunteering at the hub in April 2025. Bobbie had a keen interest in the hub having come from an NHS/NELFT background and has been able to use all her wonderful skills meeting and greeting residents and making them feel welcome and supported at the hub.

If you would like to volunteer at St George's Health & Wellbeing Hub then please email [email protected] - we are looking for volunteers at weekends as well as during the week!
