10 Years of Activity in Cranbrook.
And that's it ! An end to Cranbrook Community Action Group .
We finished it as we have always done , inviting Cranbrook Community to celebrate together with us our ending and all the things we've done.
In a real Cranbrook fashion , we asked people to draw a hand and share what they love about Cranbrook.
And there is plenty ❤️

CRANBROOK COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP (formerly Cranbrook Community Association) STATEMENT.
It has been 10 years since the conception of a community association here in Cranbrook and boy have we seen some changes! From 50 households to over 3000, from almost entirely young local families to a far more broadening and diverse community, Cranbrook has moved on… and so must we.
Over the last decade it has been a privilege to serve our community through litter picks, growing initiatives, pop up living rooms and community action campaigns. We have gathered, shared, made connections, gained friends and helped contribute to the amazing community that Cranbrook is renowned for.
But as our town grows, so do its needs. And while the members of CAG are still very keen to see the community continue to flourish, we know that as volunteers with full time commitments and limited capacity, we are not the right people to carry on pushing this forward. So, at our last AGM, the Cranbrook Community Action Group voted to dissolve and close our community group.
While CAG may be closing its doors, our members are still very much part of the community and you’ll see them working hard to continue their work here. Some have their own community interest companies that serve the community, others are volunteering their time as Town Councillors, in fact all of us are still connected to community groups that have been home grown right here in Cranbrook.
BUT we want to go out with a bang! And so we are calling upon all Cranbrook community groups, past and present to join us in celebrating everything our community has achieved over the last decade. Next month (Sat 18th April) we will be holding a Celebration Event and we would love for you to be a part of it. Email [email protected] for more info on how to get involved.
For now, we would like to take his opportunity to thank you, the Cranbrook community, for supporting our efforts, for engaging in our work and for embodying the community spirit that makes Cranbrook stand out. We have enjoyed every moment, and we hope you have too.

This is our opportunity to have our say !
How would we like the boundaries of Cranbrook to be ?
How would we like the town to be governed ? Would we prefer as it is now or would we like Cranbrook to have councilors connected to certain areas (wards) of Cranbrook ?https://cranbrookandsurroundingdevelopmentareacgr.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/v3/community-governance-review-questions?step=step1&fbclid=IwdGRjcAMzVn5jbGNrAzNWcGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeAD9Re7H4-0jCd5USZ7lgxNUZbJXZm572xe2kMm0wVJWIP4UXWNwqU03P68A_aem_19FQsuzTU7cpMa88KhMRsg

The Community Governance Review: Cranbrook and Surrounding Development Areas consultation is still open. Have your say by clicking the link in the comments

Residents, businesses, and organisations in the surrounding area of Cranbrook are invited to share their thoughts in a review of how their communities can best be governed at the parish level. The review aims to ensure residents feel that the governance arrangements for the affected area, including the parish and town council boundaries and the number of councillors elected to them, are appropriate.

The deadline of 5pm on Friday 24 October 2025.
