We believe no one should have to face a life-limiting and terminal illness alone. Our vision is that everyone has choice and excellence on their journey towards the end of their life. We aim to seek out all those who need palliative care and ensure that something is being done to address their needs. Our broad range of adult hospice services aims to enrich the lives

of patients and their families from the diverse communities of Medway and Swale. Care is available to all those who can benefit from it and we work to meet all the needs of our patients, including those which reflect their ethnic, cultural or religious heritage. The hospice is run by Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) who provide a wide range of high quality community health services on behalf of the NHS.

⛰️💜 A huge thank you to Luke Riordan and friends! 💜⛰️

On 4th June, Riordan and his incredible team took on the ultimate Three Peaks Challenge — climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours — all in support of the Wisdom Hospice Charity 💜

This was an amazing achievement, showing incredible determination, teamwork and commitment. We are absolutely thrilled to share that they have raised an incredible £7,330 to support our hospice care. 🎉

Your fundraising will make a real difference, helping us continue to provide compassionate care, comfort and support to local patients and their families when they need us most.

We are so proud of you all, Luke and friends. Thank you so much for taking on this challenge, for supporting The Wisdom Hospice, and for helping us make a difference in our community 👏💜

⛰️🌟 A huge congratulations to Hugo Otite! 🌟⛰️

On 31st May, Hugo took on the incredible Three Peaks Challenge — climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales — and completed this amazing feat in support of the Wisdom Hospice Charity 💜

We are so grateful for Hugo’s incredible determination, commitment and fundraising efforts. Hugo has raised an amazing £458 to help provide vital care and support for local people and their families.

Your fundraising could help fund 18 hours of care from a Hospice Specialist Palliative Care Nurse, making a real difference to patients who need compassionate, expert support when it matters most. 🌿

Thank you so much Hugo, for choosing The Wisdom Hospice and for helping them continue to provide care, comfort and support to our community. We are incredibly proud of you! 👏💜

Join us on Friday 19th June for a spectacular 10K twilight walk around St Mary’s Island, Chatham. Walk alongside friends, family and our amazing community as we light up the night sky in support of local hospice care. 💜

With stunning views, a beautiful remembrance moment by Upnor Castle, glowing lights, and the chance to walk in memory of someone special, this is more than just a walk — it’s a night to remember. 🕯️✨

We are supporting this event as our way of saying a heartfelt "thank you" for your hard work throughout the year. It will be a day of free activities and opportunities to connect with local health and wellbeing services, and fellow volunteers in the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’ve been volunteering with us for years or have just recently joined the team, we would love to see you there. There is no need to book just pop along and say hello.

There will be a range of free activities to take part in throughout the day, and it will be a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy being around like-minded people.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday 💜

🍬💜 A sweet surprise for our amazing volunteers! 💜🍬

To celebrate Volunteers Week, we wanted to treat our amazing volunteers to something sweet and we managed that with a little help from our friends at Haribo UK & Ireland Bluewater, who kindly supplied the sweets 🍭

From helping in our shops and supporting events, to giving their time behind the scenes, our past and present volunteers make such a huge difference to Wisdom Hospice Charity every single day. Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without you. Every hour volunteered helps support local hospice care in our community 💜

Our charity shops play a vital role in raising funds for hospice care, and we’re always looking for more friendly faces to join the team. If you can spare a few hours and would like to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you!
