💜 Emily is fundraising to support Abigail’s Footsteps in memory of baby Bloom, along with 14 family members and close friends.

💜 Emily said “Our baby boy Bloom was born peacefully sleeping on 29th July, 2025 (at 20 weeks 5 days). I had been told I was at significant risk of pre-term birth. On Monday 28 July, we were told Bloom had no chance of survival. Heartbreakingly, and a day that will never leave us, Bloom was born peacefully sleeping at 4.10 on the Tuesday morning. Bloom was absolutely perfect! A beautiful boy with his button nose and same chin as his brother and sister!”

💜 Emily is fundraising for Abigail’s Footsteps after the support she received from the charity and said “I became aware of Abigail’s Footsteps once Bloom was born. Bloom spent his days with us in the hospital in an Abi Cooling Cot which gave us that precious time we so needed with our son.”

💜 Emily also accessed our Abigail’s funded bereavement counselling and said “Abigail’s have also given me a safe space to talk and share my grief about Bloom. To have that confidence to share and open up about my baby boy really has helped me ‘put one foot forward’ in this journey of baby loss. I would like other families to know you aren’t alone, and Abigail’s are there for you.”

💜 Emily would like to raise enough to donate an Abi Cooling Cot in memory of Bloom but also support our other charity main aims.

💜 Emily told us how she is planning to raise the funds and said “I will be walking from Rochester to Whitstable (just over 28 miles) THIS SATURDAY to raise money for Abigail’s Footsteps in Bloom’s memory. Please donate if you can. We can give families those extra few days with their babies and provide help and support to those suffering the heart breaking loss of their babies.”

💜 Chelsea and Christian have now donated 4 Abi Cooling Cots in memory of their son, Romeo Mackenzie Horn, who was stillborn in April 2025 at Furness General Hospital.

💜 Chelsea said “We travelled to Blackpool to officially hand over 2 more Abi Cooling Cots, lovingly donated by Remembering Romeo."

💜 Abi Cooling Cot 3 was donated to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Abi Cooling Cot 4 was donated to Brian House Children's Hospice, Blackpool.

💜 Chelsea said "It was a privilege to be able to visit both sites as a family to hand over these Abi Cooling Cots and gift families time with their baby. Our kids described Brian House Children’s Hospice as their favourite handover to date. We had the privilege of a tour around the hospice, which is beautiful and meticulously designed to provide the very best for those in their care. Prior to our donation, Brain House Children’s Hospice only had a cooled room, which significantly impacted the time that could be spent with a loved one. The hospice has an upstairs flat to allow families to spend time together and stay over. Families can now have their babies upstairs with them in the flat, instead of the limitation of the cooled room downstairs. I have no doubt both these Abi Cooling Cots will enormously benefit many families along the Flyde Coast and I hope Romeo’s legacy provides families with some comfort in their darkest days."

💜 Chloe and Sam are fundraising to support Abigail's Footsteps in memory of their daughter, Olivia.

💜 Chloe and Sam said "Our beautiful daughter, Olivia Katie Johnson was born sleeping on 17th June at Basildon Hospital at 29 weeks. During the most heartbreaking time of our lives, one of our greatest comforts was being able to spend precious time with Olivia and make memories together as a family. The cooling cot we used had been donated by another bereaved family. This was one of the greatest gifts, and we were so grateful to be given that extra time with our daughter."

💜 Chloe and Sam are fundraising to donate an Abi Cooling Cot in memory of Olivia and said "We want Olivia’s name to be spoken and her memory to continue helping others. By fundraising for Abigail’s Footsteps, we hope to provide a hospital with a cooling cot so another family can have the same precious opportunity to spend time with their baby and create memories together – this is something we will cherish forever.
