1263 Rochdale Royal Air Force Air Cadets

12/10/2026

Another brilliant evening of awards and achievements for our cadets. We have had Blue Space, First Aid, Blue DofE, as well as CPL Bowe getting his Senior badge in the mix.

A special shout out to CDT Bramwell on being awarded the cadet of the month; well deserved on all she has done at the squadron...congratulations

On Saturday and Sunday, a number of our cadets will be attending our Sector One Training weekend, so wishing them all luck and hope they all enjoy the experience these events have to offer

A big congratulations to all our cadets who have completed various badges and achievements in recent weeks.

We have handed out certificates for Essential First Aid as well as Blue Space and one of our cadets has graduated to being a Senior Cadet.

As the nights draw in, we are actively going through our training plans and completing preparations for the forthcoming Rememberance Day parade and training weekends so it's busy, busy, busy.

We also have our new cadets settling in nicely, coming up to speed with great enthusiasm and it is great to see.

As we look at our past, and embrace our future
Can anyone advise us of our Rochdale crest, when was it designed, do we know if was created on the hierarchy and does anyone have pictures of our crest from the past

Our cadets took on the RTX Quadcopter Challenge this week, and while the RAF teaches aviation, nothing quite prepares you for the sheer adrenaline of watching a drone you built with your own hands hover above the ground.

Less Top Gun...... slightly more cautious bumblebee, but it got airborne and didn't take out any ceiling tiles! Absolute victory. 🏆

Massive well done to the cadets for exceptional teamwork, engineering logic, and patience during the build. Next stop: full flight trials!
