This being in limbo with the park has to stop, if we cant generate funds we have to pay for these repairs ourselves. Luckily a local lad has stepped in to do the labour free of charge but we ve still had to buy the materials

🚌We're on board the Community Power Bus at the Labour Party Conference!

We've joined We're Right Here: the campaign for community power, UCL Policy Lab, HOPE not hate, Power to Change, The Young Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Together, we've created a space to showcase what could be possible if communities had real power over the decisions, places and services that shape their lives. Visitors met community leaders driving change across the country and heard about the national policy direction needed to go further and faster on the power of community.

Alongside our letter to Andy Burnham calling on him to commit £200m to community ownership funding in the Autumn Budget, we hope that ministers will act to make sure community organisations have the resources and support to keep transforming lives.

If you're a leader of a community organisation, sign the letter here: https://locality.org.uk/sign-the-letter

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our very wet and windy Apple Fair. Lovely to see Tricia Ayrton and Shah Wazir (thank you so much for braving the weather). Massive thanks to Rotary Club of Rochdale for their support and also being our fab judges of the Apple Dish Contest. Amber Pets for bringing their fantastic dog show to the event it really was awesome. Emma's crazy creatures not sure im ever getting over being so close to a tarantula but thank you so much, all the creatures were amazing. Lastly but definitely not least a big shout out to the team who were a stage away from drowning at least twice ~ awesome peeps who give up so much time to try and restore and raise funds for the park....special end note - Joanne Faulkner hurry up back we dont know where anything goes 🤣🤣
