It’s Carers Week (8–14 June)

Carers Week is a national campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face, and help people identify as carers and access support.

Do you look after a family member, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without your support because of illness, disability, mental health, addiction or age? You might be an unpaid carer even if you don’t think of yourself that way.

If you’re supporting someone living in Rochdale, Carers’ Hub Rochdale is here for you. We offer free, confidential support and take time to understand what you need. Support starts with a conversation.

Celebrating our amazing volunteers 💜

For Volunteers’ Week, we treated our Rochdale volunteers to a meal at The Royal Toby and a lunch at The Cherry Tree Café – a lovely way to say thank you and bring everyone together.
We’re also proud to welcome new volunteers already making a difference.
Here are some of the things our volunteers said about why they chose to get involved:
✨ “Writing letters is a lost art – it’s a thoughtful and personal way to support a carer.”
💬 “I enjoy listening, building trust and helping people feel comfortable.”
🌼 “I’ve had a positive experience as a carer and wanted to give something back.”
We’re so grateful for the time, care and kindness our volunteers give to carers across Rochdale 💜
