Helen's Way The Gamekeepers' Welfare Trust celebrates its 30th Anniversary and "Year of the Gamekeeper" in 2022. Celebrating the role of gamekeeping.

I am travelling through the UK by every means of transport keepers have used. I hope you join me on my journey.

This is a video taken on the 2022 tour and was my first taste of riding a trial bike albeit a tentative one! Taken on Arkengarthdale and due to the patience of Thomas and the Yorkshire Dales Moorland Group. Remembered as a highlight of the trip this is now the focus of a tour of the Moorland Groups in 2026 from the Northern Border down to the Pennines and completing on the North York Moors. Watch this space!

We had a great time at Moy this weekend meeting old friends not least those who supported Helens Way. Managed to catch one Headkeeper Aaron Winton from Novar Estate before he disappeared into the beer tent! Thankyou Aaron and all.

Afternoon all!
So after a good while I have finally added up the miles I travelled by various means on "Helens Way".
There were a couple of gaps on the tracker when I forgot to turn it on or other malfunction and I have added those up on google maps so they should be reasonably accurate.
Here goes:

The Final total is: The correct total is .... 1928.21 which means Lee Holder is the lucky winner at 1879. Margaret you were close but not quite as close!

Thank you for all your guesses and good wishes 🙂

There have been some wonderful events around the country to celebrate 70 years on the throne for Her Majesty the Queen and also coming together in communities wherever they may be during these four days.
From the Gamekeeping community I wanted to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone in the Gamekeepers' Welfare Trust for your support during "Helen's Way" and raising a magnificent £6000.00 during the 17 days of the tour.

A very big thank you from us to you and as a further tribute to our Queen who loves the countryside and her gundogs as we do, a photograph which demonstrates her dedication and skill.
