Ripon Flower Club NAFAS

What a marvellous evening we enjoyed on Wednesday with NAFAS Demonstrator Nick Grounds! 🌸
Nick captivated us with his stunning floral designs, accompanied by his wonderful lyrical stories and memories, making it a truly entertaining and memorable evening.
Here are just two of his fabulous arrangements for you to enjoy.
Our members also treated us to a delicious selection of homemade cakes, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. 🍰
It was lovely to see so many members, former members and guests joining us, and congratulations to those lucky winners who took home one of Nick’s beautiful arrangements!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening such a success.

Congratulations, Liz, on your 'First' at Newby Hall! Such an intricate design, fabulous attention to detail. Beautiful. My photo doesn't do the design justice. Visit the Autumn Flower Show at Newby Hall this weekend to see the full 3D effect.

🌸 What a wonderful club night we had this week! 🌸

Our very own Pat Hutchinson presented a fantastic floral workshop on the parallel design, taking us through its history, explaining the principles behind this style and demonstrating how to create our own arrangements.

We explored how to achieve the parallel effect, with a particular focus on creating beautiful contrasts in tone and texture to add interest, depth and impact to the design.

It was a really enjoyable, informative and inspiring workshop, giving us plenty of ideas and techniques to take away and put into practice.

A huge thank you to Pat for sharing her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm with us. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making it such a great evening! 💐
