“From Tropical to Tartan”
Our most recent meeting took place at the weekend, where President Diane Muiry welcomed members along to a lovely afternoon tea prepared by Diane Duffton from Huntly. Sandwiches, Savouries, Cakes and Fruit Kebabs were enjoyed by all. Refreshments were served from a Tropical Canopy which was a delightful touch prepared by Diane Muiry and Julie Duncan. The most enjoyable entertainment was provided by very talented local dancers from Michelle Gordon Highland Dance Team. This finished off a great afternoon.

“Och Beehive Yersel” 🐝 🐝
Our June meeting was a talk by local beekeeper George Nicol. Such an interesting insight was given on an introduction to Beekeeping. The complexity of the wee insect is just amazing, including one interesting fact that they have 5 eyes!! He then went onto judge the difficult task of the competitions which were 2 Honeyflapjacks (given recipe supplied) Placed as his favourites were winners Diane Muiry, Julie Duncan and Margaret Reid. George then judged the best Bee Ornament/Item. Winners were Kirsty McLennan, Laura Bastable and Diane Muiry. Tea and Scones were then enjoyed. The evening finished off with a vote of thanks by Phyllis Beverly
