This Wednesday 14th October, we’re delighted to welcome Llion to Archway Recovery for our Testimony Week! 🙏

After 30 years of addiction, homelessness and prison, Llion’s life has been transformed through recovery and faith in Jesus Christ. ✝️

Today, he serves as a Homeless Pastor, bringing hope to others through his lived experience.

❤️ One person’s testimony can become another person’s hope.

Come along, hear his testimony and be encouraged that recovery is possible and our future can be different.

💜 12 MONTHS FREE FROM GAMBLING! A LIFE TRANSFORMED!

Today, Archway Recovery celebrates a very special milestone for our very own Alex. ONE WHOLE YEAR FREE FROM GAMBLING! 🙌

Unlike alcohol or drug addiction, gambling may leave no obvious physical signs. Yet behind closed doors, it can devastate finances, relationships, families and hope.

Once trapped in addiction, desperate to stop but powerless to do so, Alex discovered a solution through the 12 step recovery programme, sponsorship and support from others with lived experience.💜

And what a difference 12 months can make!

His family life, work and finances have been transformed, and he’s welcomed the beautiful blessing of a new baby.

Alex hasn’t just stopped gambling. He’s gained a whole new way of living!✨

We’ll use our own experiences to encourage one another 🤝 share what we’ve learned and talk about the solution to addiction and the hope we find in recovery. 🌱❤️

This week we’re doing something a little different.

🎥 During the second half of our session, we’ll be watching a short, powerful visual piece exploring addiction, struggle, surrender, forgiveness, faith and hope.

“A reminder that rock bottom doesn’t have to be where the story ends. Sometimes it can be the very place where change begins.”🧡

Afterwards, we’ll take some time to reflect together on what stood out to us. There’s no pressure to speak. You can simply watch and listen.

✨ SIX MONTHS SOBER. A LIFE TRANSFORMED ✨

Today, we’re celebrating Scot a local gentleman from Prestatyn, who has reached SIX MONTHS OF SOBRIETY! 👏

Scot first walked through the doors of Archway Recovery around eight months ago, struggling with alcoholism.

Recovery didn’t happen overnight, but Scot kept coming back. With courage, willingness and support, he embraced recovery and began working a 12-step programme with a sponsor.📘🙌🙏💫

And today, look at him! ❤️

Scot is rediscovering life! His health has improved, relationships are being restored, and he’s found renewed happiness, purpose and joy. He’s now encouraging others on their own recovery journeys.

These photographs, shared with Scot full permission, tell a beautiful story of hope and transformation.

This Wednesday, we’re looking forward to hearing from Corey, one of our much-loved Archway Recovery team members, as he opens up about his personal journey through addiction and recovery.

Known for his bubbly personality, kindness and willingness to help others, Corey is approaching a very special milestone 💜TWO YEARS OF SOBRIETY! 🎉

But what brought him to this point?

From the chaos of co***ne addiction to the life he is living today, Corey will be taking us through his journey, the challenges he’s faced and the vital role his faith in Jesus Christ has played in his recovery. 🙏

The struggles, the turning point and the life that followed.

Come and hear it from Corey himself!

We’ll be looking at the everyday choices and challenges we face in recovery.

You’ll be given different situations and three possible ways to respond…

👉 A, B or C what would YOU choose?

Expect humour, real conversation and shared lived experience as we explore how Honesty, Open-mindedness & Willingness can help us respond differently when we’re faced with difficult moments.

And let’s just say Conor has a rather unexpected prop making an appearance tonight… 🤣👀

Archway Recovery is a Christian, peer-led recovery community, established in 2024.

Our team includes recovered alcoholics, addicts and gamblers, family members and loved ones with lived experience, alongside Christian volunteers.

We use our experience to support, encourage and come alongside people affected by addiction, whether you’re still struggling, thinking about change or already in recovery.

We also support family, friends and loved ones through Archway HALO. 💫

Our aim is simple to be helpful and useful and to share the hope that recovery is possible.
