We had a very interesting, illustrated talk at our last meeting about ‘Walking the Camino de Santiago’. Our speaker walked the Camino Francés (The French Way), the most famous route, which begins in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, runs across the Pyrenees, and spans roughly 800 km (500 miles) and walkers typically take 30 to 35 days to complete it.

The star of our competition for something beginning with ‘T’ was Sheila’s Tortoise, 2 year old Olly, greeted by many ‘oohs and aahs’ from the members.

This months meeting saw us crafting Easter cards & recycled t shirt yarn. Special thanks given to Jane & Anita for hosting committee meetings. We had our AGM with voting for committee & reports from our secretary, treasurer & president. Thanks to our tellers Cheyrl & Margaret from Natnmel WI.

Our February meeting was a celebration of 95 years of Rhayader WI. Thank you to our President Eira for making a cake for us all to enjoy. Also thanks goes to Sylvia for stepping in at short notice to give us a slide show and talk on the American Wild West. Members wore and displayed their green hearts to support the 'show the love' campaign, which fights to protect our planet from Climate Change. 🎂 💚
