Ganu Hall

Ganu Hall Our small, historic community hall has stood at the foot of the iconic Melincwrt Waterfall for generations.

Now a run by a group of dedicated volunteers, we're a hub for community activities including bingo, coffee mornings and a warm hub.

A massive thank you too for a fantastic donation from someone who wishes to remain nameless. Suffice to say your generosity means our coffees will definitely be improved from now on. Thank you so much.

We've been very busy recently and we forgot to thank Steve and the team of volunteers from National Trust Cymru who gave up some more of their time to come back and finish painting the outside of the building. It couldn't have been more different from their first attempt, dry and not a cloud in sight this time!!!!
What a difference, thank you all so much

Great news today for the Ganu Hall. We have been awarded a grant for the construction of a path from the fire exit round to the front of the building. This will provide a safe exit route from the hall if needed and a flat method of entry into the building for those with access difficulties who find the ramp hard to use.
The grant has been awarded from the Pride in Place Impact Fund, with funds from the Welsh Government via Neath Port Talbot Council. Our thanks to Cllr. Dean Lewis for his support of our improvement project and our application to the fund. Thanks as well to the team in NPT CBC for their help through the application process. Thanks also to Cllr. Lucy Hadley for signposting us to an opportunity we may not have heard about.
Exciting times for us!!!!

A massive thank you to the team from the National Trust Cymru who gave up a day of their valuable time to support us by painting the outside of the Ganu Hall. Sadly the weather conspired against them and they were unable to complete the job but are giving another day of their time in July to return to finish. We are so grateful for this support. The building looks a little patchy now but hopefully it will be a sunny dry day when they return and can complete the job. Many thanks again to you all
