The Development of a Community-led Renfrew Local Place Plan aims to empower the local community to shape Renfrew’s future through a shared vision for development, placemaking and land use.

The Renfrew LPP will reflect the Communities Priorities for Renfrew such as inclusive regeneration, active travel, green infrastructure, housing and climate resilience aligning to the National Planning Framework 4 and Renfrewshire Council's Local Development Plan.

Following this engagement session we will then proceed with the formalisation of a Working Group, this will be made up of Community Stakeholders and residents of Renfrew.

We are delighted that Lorna Mitchell will be teaching Carers self-care tips, Tai Chi, reiki healing and ways to prevent burnout from their caring role. 🧘

These sessions are on the ground floor of St James House at 2pm on Thursday 20th and 27th March, and are suitable for all ages and abilities.

The unpaid Carers in our community deserve to be recognised for the amazing love and support they provide to those they care for, which is exactly why we’re running these weekly wellbeing sessions. 💙

For the next four weeks, we’ll be focussing on gentle exercise, getting the most nutrition from simple recipes and exploring mindful activities to give our mental health a boost too. 😌
The sessions are designed for Carers and the person they care for, and we’ll have care staff on hand to ensure everyone gets the most out of the sessions.

Our Place Our Families (Renfrew) Community Led £136,862 Renfrewshire This group will use the funding to offer a programme of healthy eating on a budget cooking classes for the local community. The project will build on the success of their community cookbook and will target older people, homeless young people and people living with challenging circumstances. Funding will also help support the group's wider community work in the form of overheads and core costs.
