Our Face2Face parent support service is pleased to host a free in-person information session on Nourishing Neurodivergent Children

Wednesday 22 April 2026
10.30am to 12.30pm
YMCA Sovereign Centre, Reigate RH2 8HA

The session will be led by Sandrine Olmi, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Certified Mind, Body, Eating Coach who specialises in supporting families of neurodivergent children.

As both a practitioner and a mum of a neurodivergent child, she understands the daily challenges of food refusal, meltdowns, anxiety, and exhaustion.

In this session, she will share evidence-informed guidance on how nutrition can support children’s mood, focus, sleep, digestion, and emotional regulation. Parents will learn simple ways to improve meals and eating habits—even for sensory eaters—along with practical steps to support gut health. The session will also cover how parents can nourish themselves to maintain energy, resilience, and patience.

We are delighted that we are now having regular visits from our LifeWorks Learning Hub at the house. This programme is all about nurturing and developing the skills of 16-25 year olds with complex needs and disabilities, assisting them with their transition in to adulthood and more independence. Today (Wednesday 11th March) is Young Carers Action Day.

Young carers are children and young people who help look after someone in their family who is ill, disabled, or struggling with mental health - often helping with everyday things like cooking, washing, or looking after younger siblings.

Today is about recognising everything they do and raising awareness so more young carers get the support they deserve.

At Action for Carers Surrey, we support young carers across the county with free activities, advice and someone to talk to.

Surrey County Council is consulting on proposed changes to Play and Leisure Short Breaks for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.

We are working alongside Challengers, LinkAble and White Lodge to help ensure as many families as possible have the opportunity to have their voices heard.
