It was great to have a visit from Rebecca Paul MP to the Loveworks warehouse last week. We value Rebecca giving her time to find out more about the work we do, to see first hand the realities faced by the people we support and witness the need for food banks in our area.

Last week, during Volunteers’ Week, I visited Loveworks Food Charity to learn more about their work and to thank the incredible volunteers who make it possible.

Working alongside local partners and the community in Reigate and the surrounding areas, Loveworks supports people who are facing difficult times by providing food assistance and practical support.

With the continued rise in food and energy costs, many individuals and families are finding it harder to make ends meet. The food parcels and support provided by Loveworks can make a real difference.

It was wonderful to see first-hand the passion and dedication of the team and volunteers. We are incredibly fortunate to have an organisation like Loveworks serving our communities across Reigate & Redhill.

If you would like to support their work, Loveworks is always grateful for food donations and welcomes new volunteers. One request, though: no pasta please—they already have plenty!

❤️What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday to celebrate our fantastic Loveworks volunteers.

🌻Held at our allotment in Woodhatch, our volunteer tea party was a chance for us to say a huge THANK YOU to our volunteers who do so much - without them Loveworks simply could not operate!

This week is volunteer week and it was good to take time to spend together and reflect on the incredible work done by our volunteers who make such an impact on the lives of local people.

Today is WORLD HUNGER DAY, a time when we’re reminded that hunger is closer to home than many of us think.
Right here in our community, families are struggling to put food on the table. No-one should have to skip meals or go to bed hungry, yet for many, this is a daily reality.

❤️At Loveworks (a local food bank charity) we are here to support those who need us, helping individuals and families across Reigate, Redhill, Merstham and surrounding villages, but we can’t do it without you.

🙏Huge thanks to the team from Future Proof Insurance Reigate who volunteered at our food donation day this week. They did an incredible job on what was the hottest day of the year 🥵.

We collected a fantastic amount of much needed food, which will go directly to local people facing difficult times right now.

It was great to meet everyone out and about in Reigate who donated. We were blown away as always by the kindness and generosity of our community.
