📅Today is National Food Bank Day. A day to highlight the vital role food banks play in supporting people in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.
At Loveworks, we see every day that food poverty can affect anyone. A sudden change in circumstances, rising household bills, illness, redundancy, or an unexpected expense can quickly eat away savings and make it difficult to put enough food on the table.

🙏We believe that no one should face food poverty alone, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports us. Whether you donate food, give financially, volunteer your time, provide a food collection point, or simply help us spread the word. You are helping to make a real difference to people in our local community.

On National Food Bank Day, please consider doing one thing to help those who are struggling.
You could:

Thank you to everyone who donated at our food donation day on Tuesday at Tesco Extra Hookwood.

❤️It was a pleasure to meet so many wonderful people who truly care about those in our community who are facing difficult times.
🥫We collected a fantastic amount of much needed food donations, which will be heading straight back out to those we help.

Food donations are essential to Loveworks, without which we would not be able to continue providing the support that so many individuals and families need right now.

❤️We were delighted to welcome a youth group from St Margaret's Church in Chipstead to the Loveworks warehouse this week.

🛻Food donations were arriving from our Tesco food donation day. 🥫The team got stuck in with checking, sorting and shelving the donations, ready to to be packed into food parcels for our beneficiaries.

We were impressed with their enthusiasm, team work and willingness to help 🙌. Their hard work meant we had everything organised ready for our food banks today.

🙏A huge thank you to the group for giving up their time and making such a valuable contribution. We are incredibly grateful for all the support we receive from St Margaret's Church community.

Last week we put out an urgent request for tinned meals and tinned fruit as our food bank shelves were close to empty‼️

🤗We were thrilled to receive an Amazon delivery from our wishlist, with the items we most need!

🙏At the moment we can’t see who has donated via our Amazon wishlist, so if it was you - thank you!!! These items will be going straight out to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet.

☀️We tend to receive a lot less donations during the summer, but this is often a time when more families need our help.
