Feast Cornwall

Feast Cornwall Creative Kernow’s grants funding programme for art projects across Cornwall & Isles of Scilly.

26/05/2026

On Thursday we were invited to the Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre Festival of Belonging and honestly, Ellie, our Programme Manager, who had never been before, was completely blown away.

Yes, the sunshine helped ☀️ But the feeling of the place was undeniable. The amount of work, care and creativity that had clearly gone into the festival was incredible.

It was brilliant to see local children performing, artwork created by both young people and members of the wider community, and photographs celebrating 40 years of Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre and the people who have helped shape it over the decades. Alongside that were performances from artists at different stages of their careers, which made the whole thing feel incredibly inclusive and special.

One of the most impressive things about Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre is that they are currently operating without core funding, which makes what they have achieved even more astonishing.

So, if you get the opportunity to support them in any way, whether that is making a donation or going along to see one of their shows (and the programme is seriously impressive), please do.

We are really looking forward to working more closely with Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre, on a really exciting project in 2026 🙂

DEADLINE IMMINENT

In case you missed it, we have changed the way we are managing the Bomm Bras Grants, previously known as the Festival Enhancement Grants.

There will now only be one funding round this year, which closes on 11th May. So, if you are thinking about applying for up to £2,500, make sure you get your expression of interest submitted:

https://form.jotform.com/250643908578367

There will be no further Bomm Bras grants available until April 2027 at the earliest.

However, festivals can still apply to Artys Kemeneth, which will have three funding rounds this year for grants up to £1,000.

We’re really looking forward to next week’s Festivals Network meeting at intoBodmin.

The Festivals Network is a great way to connect with other creative and community leaders organising events and festivals across the Duchy. It’s a brilliant opportunity to hear what’s happening elsewhere, share ideas, feel inspired, and find out more about FEAST’s grants for the coming year.

We’ll even bring some biscuits.

Grab yourself a free ticket, link in the comments.

Bomm Bras applications are now open! 📣

****There will be only 1 Bomm Bras round this year****

FEAST's Bomm Bras (Festival Enhancement) Grants are for up to £2,500 to support festivals or large scale events that are deeply embedded within a community.

There are no restrictions on who can apply, whether you’re an artist, individual, community leader, charity, community group or organisation.

The key thing is that these grants are intended to add an extra flourish to your event. They need to support something additional, rather than being used to cover core costs.

Applications close: Monday 11th May 2026
Review and project chats: Wednesday 3rd June 2026
Decision date: Wednesday 10th June 2026

On the eve of the Cornish festival season, we thought it would be lovely to get together for a catch-up and chat about all things festivals.

This financial year (April to March), there will be just one round of Bomm Bras grants, so it’s a great chance to make sure you don’t miss out.

The meet-up will also be an opportunity to ask Ellie any questions about the grants, as well as hear from previous recipients about their experiences. That’s one of the best things about the Festivals Network, there’s always someone around to offer a bit of encouragement or share some top tips!

🌟 Introducing Artys Bosvena Projects 🌟

We are excited to introduce nine community-focused projects joining Flamm 2026, all made with Bodmin at the heart of them. These projects are funded by FEAST’s pilot place-based grant, Artys Bosvena. It's all about celebrating Bodmin’s creativity, community, and people.

HERE by Alexander Prynne - an immersive work exploring neurodivergent safe spaces.

Bodmin Speaks - an interactive story-sharing experience led by Bodmin Open Circle & Kaleigh Barclay.

No Rules, Just Words with Robert Gillett - community poetry workshops and performance.

Dislocated Dresser with Carlos Zapata & Discovering 42 - family automaton-making fun!

Kinsman Ticket Tapestry by Hannah Jacobs with Kinsman Estate - collective collage about journeys.

Re:Rooted by Small Acts x Kitty Hillier with KBSK - moving sculpture, dance and navigation through Bodmin.

The Storybook of Bodmin with Amanda Young & SkillSHARE - walk-in story installation celebrating personal narratives.

Brickfield Bodmin by Rosanna Martin & Tim Hutton - make your own Bodmin clay brick.

Woven Voices: The Bodmin Dress Project by Rebecca Wood & Elaine Foster-Gandey - a community textile artwork weaving stories and memories.

Thanks everyone for the amazing ideas - we can’t wait to see them come alive! 💛

It's been a minute. But we're back with our Festival Network meetings! We hope you had a fantastic festival season (we know there are still a lot of incredible winter festivals to come) and are ready to get fired up for next year!

The meeting is on Wednesday 12th November, at the fully open The Ladder in Redruth! Getting the Ladder open has been a real labour of love for Directors Josh & Felix, and we're looking forward to showing you around and hearing what you think.

You've probably heard that next year's Festival Interceltique de Lorient is themed Cornwall: the heart of the Celtic Sea! We're delighted that Grand Bard and Lorient delegate Jenefer Lowe will be joining us to share the story of the festival, its history, and why it's Cornwall’s time to shine.

And don't worry, as always, there'll be plenty of time for a good old chinwag, and of course it wouldn't be a Festival Network without an assortment of biscuits!! 🍪
